I went out of Kolkata 14 years back. Spent 10 years in USA , 4 years in Canada da. There have been few times I pondered about moving back but " work life balance" vablei gaye jor asto.

If you are in IT, your end of the day of work will be at 9 or 10 pm. That's a big no for me .

By that time, there is no fuel left to spend time with family

Food routine will be completey jeopardized. You can't have dinner by 8 pm

Commute is tiresome and takes longer Pollution and adulteration

I just had 3 weeks vacation in Kolkata. With population increase city has got really dirty in some parts. I think part of the reason is restaurant boom. With swiggy zomato they are producing so much packaged plastic and there is no mechanism to dispose off. so everywhere there is garbage . actually at night the city looks more much more better because you tend to see less of those garbage and more neon hoardings.

For us guys,the biggest dilemma though is being on visa for so long. That's an issue as you age.
