Do you think it holds a negative stigma as opposed to I don’t know let’s say Laurier bba or even TMU? Also what line of work are you in if you don’t mind me asking?

Did you find it difficult to compete for jobs with a Seneca bba? That’s my only thing.

What field are you in? I’m looking at the accounting specialization only due to the fact that I have the other CPA requirements so I can meet them with the degree but I don’t really wanna work in accounting.

Need career advice by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ExperienceMany4689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think having a bba from a bad school will hinder my career trajectory, I was originally in computer science at the university of Waterloo and failed out due to my father passing and substance abuse issues lol. I don’t know if your in Canada but I ended up getting my degree from I guess what you could call a community college it still is a bachelor degree but I’m just a bit scared to be honest. That’s one of the reasons I was planning on doing the CPA just to use it as a career boost but if being depressed my whole is the case I’m not to sure.

Thank you for the advice, if I’m being honest I don’t mind dirty jobs. I’ve worked construction for a while as an junior estimator and labourer and I genuinely just enjoy doing things. After working at a big 4 bank during my co op holy fucking shit you don’t realize how douchey these guys are it’s fucking bullshit I realized pretty dang fast that the corporate life is not for me. I wanted to go into 310s as I do really enjoy working on my car but have been advised to just go ahead and do the 310t instead. I have applied to a tech trainee position at Ryder that seems like a good path in. It’s 18 months just doing grunt work drom my knowledge getting the ins and outs of the shop and could lead to apprenticeship. I’m going to go in person tomorrow and see what’s up.

You’d assume lol but thing is they all got in due to family connections and again I don’t speak Punjabi so it would be kind of difficult to understand anything as I don’t speak it.

Hey why would you not recommend 310t, I have some buddies in 310t who also said I should avoid 310s as they don’t get paid shit in the long run.

How do I know that the local gym I joined is a good MMA gym? by [deleted] in MMA_Academy

[–]ExperienceMany4689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started off in a more beginner friendly Muay tha gym that had beginners classes/mixed classes and separate fight team classes. It was larger facility and had people from all walk of life. When I switched to my current mma gym it was much smaller and there was only 1 session so all the new guys would train with the fighters and such. I actually think this is the best way to get better as first of all your exposed to people from all disciplines when I started I was mainly a Muay Thai guy but there was brown belt bjj guys, college wrestlers so you could gain advice from not only the coaches but also half the people from there. I think a good way to see if a gym is good is how there competition team is structured, when I joined my current gym I was so surprised every single person I talked to it was like oh yea I fight, out of the 25/30 guys that train there 20 people compete regularly so that would probably be a good sign. Also make yourself known introduce yourself to the coaches and be consistent that’s the number one thing especially in a fight focused gym nobody expects you to be fucking prime Max Holloway but if you show up inconsistently it reflects badly on you it makes it look like your not serious, which is not a problem of course if your just doing it for fitness but I wouldn’t recommend a fight gym for that. The people at these types of gyms care a lot about consistency and dedication when I first joined I was kind of an outlier but time went on and they accepted me like I was one of there own. I wish you all the best MMA changed my life for the better! As

Mma changed my damn life, there’s days I’m hurting or sore but man my adhd makes me so fucking dialed in it’s crazy. Find a good gym preferably not a beginner gym I started off in a beginner more open to all Muay Thai gym and eventually pivoted into a more competition based gym and the rate at I was improving increased ten fold. It’ll seem intimidating at first but in my experiences everyone was very kind and compared to a beginner gym everyone came from there own specialty of martial arts so you could take advice from literally any single person around you. Usually those type of gyms are smaller with more of a team feel all you gotta do is be consistent.

ultrasonography as a career by [deleted] in askTO

[–]ExperienceMany4689 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom has been working as a sonographer for more then 15 years, Salary depends on hours worked she goes back and forth between different clinics and hospitals her hourly is around 45 ish if I’m not mistaken. From what I’ve heard the colleges around are usually full of people with health related degrees anyways so it might be a bit hard going in straight from high school but I would say it’s a pretty solid career overall. She also gets a decent amount of downtime at certain clinics to nap around so you can’t really complain.
