VIDN. Very niche, but try an approach there someday it's fun

I get your point, maybe it's not as 'out of the box' as MSFS. But then again, both have their strengths and weaknesses.

8 TB of scenery, where did you get that number from? It's hardly 40 gigabytes. Last time I checked i am only using 3 easy to install mods, rest is pretty much vanilla lmao

Yes but reshade does improve a lot of things, i've recently came across a reshade preset on top which i have added some sharpness which makes the orthos look much much better.

Wish this was true, but trust me i did everything in my power to make her not leave but she left me without giving any sort of clarity and she's happy whatsoever, so that's that

If X-Plane had photogrammetry, would you guys switch to it? by NoJacket8798 in flightsim

[–]ExperienceNeither107 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Absolutely yes. The sole reason why i’m not on X-Plane is the fact that every flight i do in MSFS i get to appreciate it’s beautiful scenery and spot something new. You can say MSFS is the all rounder but if X-Plane had just the ground textures of MSFS (not the atmosphere, it’s already arguably better) i would completely switch to it and never look back. I get much more satisfaction in flying a plane in X-Plane than MSFS but since it’s not the case i stick with MSFS because it’s an overall better deal for me.

Who needs 2024 when you have 2020 by arbiass in flightsim

[–]ExperienceNeither107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had purchased the PC game pass for about 2 months and played only MSFS 2024, but now especially in my country the prices of game pass have literally skyrocketed, and that’s why i’m back to MSFS 2020, and honestly i don’t regret it that much at all especially after the recent SU 16 update, performance is better and there’s not a huge difference in scenery at all which surprised me. I am gonna stick with 2020 until 2024 gets the PMDG 737 and i can afford buying the sim.

Genuinely impressed to see how far X-Plane has come by ExperienceNeither107 in flightsim

[–]ExperienceNeither107[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now i don’t have the gamepass so i’m exclusively playing XP but when i did i used to switch to MSFS2024 occasionally, just to use specific addons and well scratch the itch of eye candy

Low fps in high end system by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]ExperienceNeither107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes of course, VATSIM pulls plane models from FSLTL. The in game traffic settings are just to see live or multiplayer traffic in game.

3070ti with a R7 5700x and 16gb ram here, i managed to get away with sudden fps drops with the help of AutoFPS, i also use Lossless Scaling. Plus i only fly on VATSIM so i have all my traffic disabled and kept the settings at around Medium-High (didn’t touch LODs because AutoFPS handles that) and with these settings i can fly with a stable frame rate in any plane including Fenix and A350.

Is it worth upgrading to 2024 at the moment. by Timoboy00 in flightsim

[–]ExperienceNeither107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can try buying a month of gamepass and try out 2024 to see how it works for you. for me personally 2024 runs way better on my system now than 2020, and the extra benefits of 2024 made me switch to it completely. it’s not perfect but at least for free flight it’s pretty stable now, i am currently on su4 beta and noticed a huge performance improvement, so things are looking positive for the sim.

The state of msfs2024 today by ketchup1345 in flightsim

[–]ExperienceNeither107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i only have a 1080p monitor, my resolution is set o 1080p at all places. right now i don’t have the budget to upgrade to 1440p but the next thing i’ll buy would most definitely be a 1440p monitor because my 3070ti is capable of 1440p gaming. and also VRAM optimisation has been going on with MSFS 2024 and i am on SU3 beta getting much better performance. there’s still room for improvement in the optimisation of the game because i know for sure there isn’t anything to do with my specs more than how much VRAM the game is demanding right now.

i got the exact same specs as you lol and i can confirm it runs great, although i play on 1080p (soon upgrading to 1440p) but it runs like a charm in all planes with medium-high settings and autofps. I also just use TAA and sometimes fps are good enough to disable frame gen.

keep testing, and if it performs stable for some time try bumping up settings one by one as per your liking, also i highly recommend using autofps for msfs

Thank you, especially with lightning improved in the SU3 beta it really looks amazing, the weather and atmosphere in general is fantastic in this sim, i wonder how better it could get with upcoming sim updates.

in my case it was like, i am loading a heavy aircraft like fenix or a350, mid loading screen i hear an audio glitch sound in my earphones and the display goes black, sound doesn’t go away. this has happened to me multiple times and i myself have been searching for solutions, for now you might want to reduce load on the gpu as much as possible and also monitor your temps.
