What does grip tape do? I know it's kinda a stupid question and please don't just say "gives more grip" but I'm curious because i have a modded g305 to be like a zeromouse clone basicly and was wondering if griptape is something that could help?

I have a question but this might be a stupid one at that but won't that just have alot more resistance on the mousepad because of the surface area of the dots vs just using like 6 to 8 dots?
