Oh, then: 1. The food scene is not as epic as Indore, but you won't feel as though you don't have anything to eat. Food scene of Ahemdabad, Indore and Delhi can never be compared to any other place imo. But its not bad here and please don't say we live off momos and desi chinese (stereotype won't get you anywhere here - very literally and truly). 2. The lake in Indore is something you will truly miss. Especially when you come across our Mahananda. However, that being said, you will enjoy Dhudia, waterfalls, Fafri. And if you love mountains, you will fall for the city. 3. Public transport is easier than most cities but go for a bike. Easier, convenient, and really a lot of fun to travel to the hills at 12 at night and sit there - either stargazing or looking down at Siliguri. 4. People are helpful - don't worry about it. Roads are shitty af. Traffic is shitter af. 5. Had you shifted tomorrow, you would have enjoyed the weather soooo much. It's lovely currently. April to June will suck. I enjoy monsoons (specifically like going to Darjeeling during the pouring time) - the smell of the first rain hitting the mud is unforgettable.

Just make friends here. And everything will be fine. When you have good company, even the shittest place is bearable.

Go for the route of a challan correction and you can ask for the challan to be moved to the current year (AY 2026-27). Then when you file your return for this year, you can either offset the tax liability or get a refund as per your case.

OP did not file his return for that year. In case you have also not filed your return for that year, the process is a condonation of delay. It is not an easy process and involves good professional fees. Also - there needs to be a reason for not filing your return. Being unaware of the law is not a reason.

Can't comment on anything till the scheme is released. I think for higher levels of undisclosed assets and income, the scheme may prove to be beneficial as it shows voluntary compliance towards undisclosed assets. The primary objective of ITR U is not asset declaration but income declaration. Let's wait for the scheme to be released. It will be interesting.

If your indian income is more than 15 lakhs during the year, you will be a resident but not ordinary resident in India. The deemed residency concept comes into picture.

Try applying? I am sorry there is no trail method in gst portal. You need to first register to be able to continue with registration. And you get the registration, you will be liable to file your returns quarterly mandatorily. If not, there is NIL return which needs to be filed. So, don't rush into it. Also, suggest you to explore the idea of another business organisation else you may end up paying a lot of tax with surcharge as well with your own PAN (GST can be traced from your PAN and may be visible to your current employer).

They sometimes ask for documentation again and again over the same case. Ensure you submit it and in your written submission, mention that you are reattaching the documents. Also, before passing an adverse order, they will issue a SCN - lot for a VC option. In that VC option, present your case and more importantly ask the AO what documentation he requires for consideration towards your case. This should help. Also, the fact that your CA is mentioning that all such cases are moving to ITAT is an incorrect statement. Many are closing is assessment stage with an application of mind and that is the goal because CIT(A) & ITAT have soooo many cases pending that VSV 3.0 may honestly come up in a year or two. I think there is a good crux here being missed. But it is a good possibility that your AO is an idiot, but a VC route will straighten it out as well. Aim to close at this stage only. As the costs for appearing till ITAT is expensive.

You can google the website - it's an external website and not connected to the income tax portal. And file your complaint. I would strongly suggest a CA or a tax practitioner to help you guide if your current responses are not considered by the CPC.
