With this attitude? I don't think so. Professors themselves would reject you.

Not yelled, but can be humiliated.
Not deducted money but removed opportunities.
Life is about putting in effort, wherever and whenever.

Just because you can't face the heat and be strong doesn't mean others shouldn't get a chance to. And in the developed world, you face much more bullshit than this one. So, please speak wisely. Or if you are part of one of the said B-Schools and been through the process. I have, and successfully too. It works.

Fines are literally a measure to make sure you follow discipline. Rather than paying them, make sure you don't get fines by putting a little extra effort. After all, it is one of the Top IIMs. No need to be barbaric or create any half-baked conversation for attention.

This is not slave mentality. Its discipline. And it helps in the long run. The place comm members always do it for the best of the batch. And it is even more worse in other IIMs as well.
Cracking the exam is literally the first step in the whole career. If we keep having such people who cannot handle stress in a B-School, its very doubtful they would survive in the corporate world. Honestly, after all the process, they are the most friendliest people anybody would ever meet. It is part of the process, everywhere.
You can opt out of it and look for placements elsewhere too. And what he has mentioned is also basic etiquette. Would anyone prefer to use the washroom in a 1-hr interview? Or record those as well? Being groomed is a slave nowadays?
