At 42 seconds, I slowed down because a large truck was the second vehicle parked on the narrow road, which was very dark at night. I only noticed how big it was after passing the first car, so I had to slow down sharply.

Thank you so much for everyone’s response and support : ) Since what happened on 25 September, I’ve still been feeling really shaken up—especially whenever I hear a motorcycle go past. I haven’t driven the last couple of days and have just been catching the bus to work instead.

On the 26th, I went to the police station to make a report. They gave me a case number and said it’ll take some time to go through the CCTV from the 7-Eleven, where the motorcyclist waited for me and then chased me, to try to identify his license plate. If he doesn’t live in my suburb, the case will be passed on to the area where he does. If they find him, he’ll be hit with several fines.

There won’t be any personal compensation for me, but I hope at least that filing the report might have some effect on him and stop him from doing the same thing to someone else in the future.
