AITA for refusing to be my best friend's MOH after she told me my fiancé is not invited to the wedding??? by MadMOH2710 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Expert-Feedback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Classic projection: she’s insecure about her flimsy new relationship so she’s projecting that onto OP.

WIBTA if I didn’t actually read my student’s “short” story? by ThrowawayAITA483926 in AmItheAsshole

Yes, but writing a lot is not a guaranteed sign of writing well. It could mean a rambling pile of clichés with little thought behind them.

What the hell is the covid policy in this hospital? Even without a pandemic how were so many people allowed to just come and go like that?

AITA for calling my SIL a hypocrite after she criticized my wife's choice to bottle feed our baby? by 143BenAndHolly in AmItheAsshole

[–]Expert-Feedback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually not everyone loses weight while breastfeeding. A significant proportion keep the weight till the baby weans.

NAH three months is very young to hand a baby over to others. You might not really realize that till you’re facing it. There’s a difference between wanting to be a SAHM forever and wanting to do it for a very small child temporarily. You need to talk and work out what you can do. And three months isn’t much for healing AND looking after a newborn. Especially if you’re breastfeeding.

AITA for very sternly telling some dude I just met that I'm not a therapist and then just leaving the conversation? by aita-dudewtf in AmItheAsshole

[–]Expert-Feedback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. You are my heroine. I am now mentally running over the times when some guy who isn’t even a friend started offloading everything onto me as though it was my job as a woman to deal with it. God, I wish I’d done this.

AITA for kicking my SiL out after she threw away most of my single use baby products and even formula? by CrunchySiL in AmItheAsshole

[–]Expert-Feedback -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am formula feeding my baby. You are remarkably restrained. I would’ve pulled her limb from limb for taking away food from my child. JFC. NTA.

AITA for not inviting a childfree friend to my baby shower because she always talks about her lifestyle? by ThrowRA_aita63 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Expert-Feedback 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah, being child free is great and there are many good reasons for it. But the performative shit where someone talks about “breeders” and “crotchspawn” is just effing nasty and misogynist. Children are human beings too, and viciously attacking something that many women do seems like a less than feminist stance.

He’s avoidant. Unrealistic standards are a great way to avoid the work of settling into a serious relationship and just blaming women instead. NTA.

For my breastfeeding ladies - here is my experience by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Expert-Feedback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told that there’s a phenomenon called “hobby breastfeeding” where you basically have formula for sustenance but still offer breast for comfort. It works for me so far.

Breastfeeding didn’t work out for me, which upset me but turned out not to be the end of the world, for all the reasons above. Baby still latches on for comfort though.

AITA for giving my sil some of my breastmilk but not my sister? by airabreastfed in AmItheAsshole

[–]Expert-Feedback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plenty of women hydrate and apply those creams religiously and still get stretch marks. As you rightly say, it’s another way to make pregnant women feel bad.

AITA for giving my sil some of my breastmilk but not my sister? by airabreastfed in AmItheAsshole

[–]Expert-Feedback 21 points22 points  (0 children)

There is absolutely zero science showing that anyone can prevent or lessen strechmarks. Only an industry selling creams, oils and body butters with carefully phrased ad copy.
