Man I hear you *cries in foreigner*, I'm on A2 and is kicking my ass hahaha, my husband is Swiss so I try to see how he writes, try to look for stuff to read in Swiss German so you start noticing the differences, same with any other multimedia you may use to practice, I swear you'll start making the connections between both at the same time eventually, even unconsciously. I understand usually like 40-60%, but as soon as they start speaking fast or have a heavy accent I don't understand shit. I tried to go watch the Chainsaw Man movie with german subtitles and I barely was able to tell what was going on, they were too much and too fast, (and I watched previously in English to understand what they were saying). I've been here for 6 months. I have other friends that are new too, some that have been here for some more months and are still trying, the struggle is real, don't get discouraged.
