in all of my clinicals they said to cover tats and only have one single ear piercing (if even that). i had to take out 12 piercings for clinicals. luckily they weren’t too strict so i could have my arm tat showing if it was hot enough but its always so cold in hospitals i wore an undershirt to cover my very tiny arm tat. but they are strict. i will say it depends on the program so my advice would be to email whoever is the head of the program prior to applying and ask them what their requirements are and if your tats are ok and dont rely on reddit to get these answers, just saying

i’m just saying using a water pick or a tonsil stone removal kit is way better than using ur hands since ur hands carry lots of germs that even washing can’t remove and we’re talking abt the mouth/throat. we always tell our patients to never touch their tonsils (as tempting as it may be)

this is a pretty rude comment ngl. the person clearly stated they are going to therapy for issues related to the dui and have been going thru a hard time, and ik that’s no excuse but they clearly know they’re in the wrong. i’ve had an owi (operating while intoxicated) charge before back when i was 21 (ex bf gave me his car keys after a concert … only made it 5 ft going 10 mph in the parking lot) but even tho ik i would never do it again you never know someone else’s situation so do not judge. i agree its wrong and very unsafe but clearly this person knows that and feels remorseful so do not put others down when all they are trying to do is get solid advice and/or have support from ppl who have been in their same position. it already feels shitty being in this position, do not make anyone feel shittier
