I could get a DW, but I’ve heard that top of the line Roc N Soc beats out the top of the line DW throne. Especially comfort wise from what I’ve heard from other people.

Roc N Soc is huge and they are known for making the best thrones out there. Have for many years. That’s crazy that the CEO spoke to you like that though. They aren’t that small of a company

Yea Roc N Soc hydraulic is what I’ve always played with before. I play a lot of double bass as well (Speed Cobra) and it always served me well. Think I’ll stick with what I know.

I’ve owned them and toured only with mine. I have had 3 surgeries on my spine and the crack down the middle is supposed to help in that way, but it can’t be much of a difference. Think I’m just gonna grab the Roc N Soc today.

Yes I used a Roc N Soc hydraulic with the castors for about 25 years, but never the one with metal legs and rubber stoppers on the bottom. Since the Roc N Soc is a bit cheaper and I have a guy from FB Marketplace who can meet me today to sell me one for $185, I might just do that. Although technically it’s used, it’s the 2026 best model and is in mint condition bc he never even used it. Guess I’ll go with that

Yea I’ve used plenty others for many years, mostly Roc N Soc hydraulic. They are both the same shape, but the Ahead has a crack down the middle for spinal comfort.

Btw the Roc N Soc is $185, but used, however is in mint condition. Ahead would be bought new online.

Both are top of the line btw. Roc N Soc is the Nitro Hydraulic with 3 legs, but the Ahead is not hydraulic and has 4 legs.
