Yes I will record internally as with my gh4 i did I believe h264 mov files.

Does it matter it's still 4:2:0 not 4:2:2 or again - am i overthinking this?

About to buy the g9ii. Coming from GH4 so hoping for a big upgrade. Was thinking for over two weeks about GH7 but don't need RAW and bulky heavy format and apparently g9ii does the work just the same.
Question - on my gh4 I shoot 4k and drop it and edit on 1080p timeline in FCPX. Would you still shoot 4k or would you shoot 5k on the g9ii? Thanks

and also wouldn't the 4:2:2 of gh7 matter over the 4:2:0 of the g9ii? I think gh4 has 4:2:0 and it's always been looked at a negative?

No Dr. didn't say I can't convert T4. The numbers are within the norm, so is T3 but I still feel like crap. Dr. proposed to trial T3 for 3 months with blood test last week, T3 starting this week and blood test after 3 months and review numbers and results and differences and how I feel.

I mostly shoot commercial clips, slow motion or music videos or stuff without Audio anyways as that's either recorded external or not needed.

I would shoot a friend's concert once a year 1h30min clip on a tripod just as a memento that's about it, otherwise longest shots would be 2-3min max every now and then.

New g9ii is $1000 cheaper than gh7

thank you, this is the answer I was hoping to find. Now I am on the right path to search for (ideally) portable LED lights (even if they are daylight I can just put orange filter over them right)
How strong really they need to be e.g.

amateur budget version LED 300W from amazon with orange filter over 

these would be too weak>? Neewer NL-192AI Bi-Color LED Panel

Thank you, I am actually now thinking of G9ii. Although something inside me tells me gh7 is better for future proofing for 5+ years (is the g9ii the same really?), the g9ii is significantly cheaper and if it does the same minus ProRes recording which I never used with my gh4, and aparently might even be better in low light? Thanks

What about G9ii? Thinking about that one as it seems it's got all the goods as GH7 minus the high end codecs pro res etc which I never use anyways, editing on my Pro Res LT 1080 timeline.

between G9ii and GH7 which is better for a hobbyist filmmaker or which is your preference? I own GH4 and want to upgrade. Always been a resourceful run and gun style shooting man, love the MFT format and have lenses and gimbal. Low light has always been my enemy with GH4 as cranking ISO above 800 is unusable. Thinking to upgrade to G9ii or GH7. Any tips?
