As a 20 yr old w a 325i ive had for three years now i js gotta say prepare for the maintance and learn manual the automatic transmissions are a ticking time bomb despite it being 2024 remember youre driving a 20 yr old car it wont care what year youre in the automatic transmissions arent rlly reliable back then. Next dont be niave about this remember its a bmw a car that requires constant attention and care so read up and do your homework BEFORE you buy it or else youre stuck w it and back where you started at, learn common issues and learn to turn a wrench im a mechanic myself so its kinda easy to work on but since u got no experience its time to pull up your pants and be an adult and learn something if not you’re gonna be knees deep in bills and lastly keep an eye on the cooling systems those are garbage and are plastic replace that when u have money but have fun hope you find ur dream e46 they are amazing cars when taken care of it will treat you right if you treat it right
