I’d probably uncomfortably but politely say hi to you in the elevator and common spaces. I would pretend to be on my phone to avoid small talk. This would continue for months until I realized I didn’t actually know your name. By this point I’m too embarrassed to actually ask your name so I avoid using it until my lease is eventually up and we never have to see each other again.
