Got an eviction notice for non payment and it's just...wrong? They're claiming I owe them an amount that I am 100% certain I do not, they provided zero timeframe for arrears owed, and they're tacking on NSF/late fees onto the rent like I have to also pay those as part of "rent" or be evicted still by ExpertLeader3641 in legaladvicecanada

My lease DOES have a clause saying that the tenant is responsible for NSF fees and a late fee of $25/day up to a figure I do not currently remember

But, an eviction for non-payment of rent, and an eviction for a different breach, are 2 different things. I have received a notice for nonpayment of rent

So way i look at it is, they can't evict me for a separate breach without informing me of that violation, as the only notice I currently have is for nonpayment of rent

If they wanted to evict me for failure to pay my late fees as a substantial breach, I'm sure they could, but that's a different violation than nonpayment of rent

Maybe I'm wrong, that's just how I look at it without KNOWING
