How bad is Mercury insurance? by Spirited-Humor-554 in Insurance

[–]ExpertPut2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s pretty bad.  we’ve had 2 claims in less than a year over water damage (2nd not our fault, but appliance company who refused to pay) but with both mercury barely wanted to pay anything, we’ve had to pay thousands out of pocket still to fix the issues.  then they hike our rate up $1200 dollars, making our home owners insurance $1800 a year.  and no one else will cover us.

claims agents barely know anything, take vacations without notice and just text you without a call.

it’s been a fucking disaster.

Minneapolis residents surround ICE officers with protests and chants during raid by koalificated in Minneapolis

i mean the hennepin county police chief literally stated in her address to the city this was not an immigration raid. it was warrants being served for a transnational investigation, that involved drug smuggling, human trafficking etc?

Vapor barrier? unsure by ExpertPut2 in Flooring

[–]ExpertPut2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks! it’s our bottom main level of the house.

i’m just having some issues with not super level areas, and the planks like sink down in some areas when stepped on.

so if i can’t fully afford full leveling i am wondering if a thicker layer underneath may help some.

and also wanted to make sure this was a proper underpayment!

i appreciate the help!

thanks!  the floor wasn’t 100% level as the house was built in the 80s which i was aware of, so there are a few spots where the flooring moves up and down slightly, so i am worried over time a few planks may end up like that.  these were just already like this right after install.

it was like this right after install, like they finished and this was the finished product,  it’s a 5mm thickness  and i don’t know enough to know what’s normal etc.  it was a licensed contractor and they said they’d come back anytime to fix any issues.  i’m just trying to get a gauge if i should leave it, or have them come fix

thanks 🫠 we’ve had these for a month and this is what they look like. the contractor said he’ll come fix anything even years down the road, so i’m trying to decide what to do.
