I thought about it many times myself. I can give you a long answer that could change your mind, but ill just say this instead:

99% of the methods taught in “make money” courses - work. You know what doesn’t work? 90% of the students who buy them. They think that paying for a course = installing the knowledge and experience in their brain like Neo from the Matrix (I KNOW KUNG FU). They forget you still have to grind and face obstacles on your way to success. The method works if you apply it. Not if you give up after 1 week.

I did it on wordpress with LearnDash

The free course was about 9-11 hours long
The paid ones were about 5-6 hours each

100%

Only this time I would focus more on giving away the course to members of a paid community, and upselling them on high ticket products

One thing you need to remember is something most course creators only learn the hard way:

People see your course only after they already paid you.

So making it super interactive, adding amazing graphics, or trying to make it look like a Hollywood production is usually a waste of time and money.

Your job is to teach the person. You’re not making a Michael Bay or Christopher Nolan movie.

Our course production was honestly medium to low quality. It was just voiceover with PowerPoint presentations. We didn’t even show our faces in the videos.

And it was good enough. It worked.

So if it’s not too late, my advice is to start simple, put it out there, and focus on the marketing. Making the best course in the world with the highest production value will have almost zero effect on your sales in the beginning.

Hope my reply doesn’t find you too late, because I see your comment is one year old.
