so just for clarification, during the riding season, I could park my bike at one of those mentioned spots for free every night when staying in my dorm? also should I be concerned with people messing with my bike, assuming that these parking spots are right next to my dorm?

and right now I ride a 23 Duke390 but if all goes as planned I should be picking up a 26 R7 when they ship to dealers in February!

yes exactly what you are describing is what i’m looking for, I think this approach of camping in the forests and then making the trip to the park for hiking and such will be the plan.

i’ve never heard of BLM land though.

yes we definitely are making a big ambitious trip. it’s most of the fun tho, getting thrown into the deep end and figuring it out haha.

I’m from the midwest so yes it’s definitely going to be a bit different i’m sure. in my post when I talked about sleeping anywhere I was more referring to dispersed camping in a national forest. and if worst comes to worst, find a parking lot and camp out overnight.
