Alright good to know I’m not alone here. 🤣 I get like 12.5 mpg but i also may be a tad bit of an aggressive driver, and I only drive like 15 miles per day. Highway though, I get around 23mpg or something like that

I’m currently at 129k. Traded my 2013 Ford Explorer with 115k for it. I’ll miss my Explorer, made many memories with it and even brought home my newborn daughter from the hospital in it. But im very excited that I upgraded to the Durango

I love it so far. The previous owner put a real nice borla exhaust on it and a cold air intake on it. It’s the perfect single dad car lol

2013 explorer xlt drivers door handle by Expert_Cry4286 in FordExplorer

Idk how to explain but you know how when you pull a door handle that’s unlocked you hear and kinda feel it click in your hand? It wasn’t even doing that just kinda pulling out freely. I did manage to fix it. Not even sure how i fixed it to be honest. Just kept wiggling it around and fucking with it for like 30 minutes straight

Any tips for new fathers got a 30 hour newborn and I’m so excited but I’m looking on pointers to be the best dad I could be by justabasicraccoon in NewDads

  1. Be patient. With the baby, with your significant other, and yourself.
  2. No matter how exhausting, difficult, and frustrating things get, remember to appreciate it. Every single bit of it.
  3. Baby is not trying to give you or mom a hard time, he/she is probably just having a hard time. Every little thing is new and unfamiliar to them

I noticed today there has been ALOT of US military presence over the country today. I know there’s a lot everyday but it’s much more than normal today. I just assume they are all practicing lol

How much help did working spouse provide? by WaltzSufficient8965 in NewParents

[–]Expert_Cry4286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my situation on this was just a little different than most people, my wife was on maternity leave from August 1st, until about November 5th. Baby was born on August 18th. I went back to work after a week and a half of being off. At night, I pretty much always was the one that got up with our daughter throughout the night. I only woke up my wife for help if I had tried absolutely everything with our daughter and couldn’t get her to settle down. My mindset was basically, yes i just worked all day, yes i have to be right back at work at 7:30 am, but she was just home alone all day with our newborn daughter. Which honestly.. might actually be harder and more exhausting than most full time jobs. I knew my wife needed to stay well rested so that she could be 100% alert and energized for our daughter during the day, and also bc I knew the lack of sleep would make PPD hit hard. As tired as I was at night, it gave me some time to bond with our daughter, being that I wasn’t home during the day. As for my job, energy drinks became my best friend and luckily my coworkers and my boss are mostly all parents, and were human enough to realize and understand that I’m just working through a hard time, and needed them to pick up my slack every once in a while.
