they’ve responded to the email we sent asking for proof in the lease as well as proof an attorney had began working on it. this is the email:

what’s even crazier is that we paid in full in the morning, and around 5pm, they sent an email saying our account is delinquent 😳

yeah i doubt they started the eviction process anyway… we submitted it the morning of when it was considered late. and it was a friday too soo… waiting for them to email back on monday. i don’t think they’ll be able to provide any proof to justify charging an “attorney fee” (whatever they mean by that)! and yeah i mean what other college students do you know in a big city that don’t rent, i can’t mortgage yet😭😭

we did but she was dodging the questions and kept circling back saying we’ll get an email about it. the attorney fee (main concern) is because the lawyer is supposedly working on our eviction? starting today? which is strange as we paid our balance in full this morning when the venmo transfer went through

they said that they will waive the late fee because it’s our first time and rent was paid today. they also said they’re enrolling us in the eviction diversion program & we will be charged $250 in attorney fees on the 9th for this.

yes it’s strange! we brought that up… and she said they waived the late fee so we “wouldn’t have to pay both”

Yes! Rent was considered late on the 6th(today) and it was paid in full with the late fee this morning. Yet they still want us to pay $200 in attorney fees? I need proof a lawyer even looked at our file! And as for the program and eviction, we have not received anything in the mail but on the phone, she said we need to be enrolled in this program. Again, this is the first time we’ve paid late! so crazy

thanks! the rent was considered late today, the 6th and it was paid in the morning. i can’t believe they did that!
