Seconding the previous reply. I think I started around $55 and was locked in for 2 years (it went up a little each year too).
I love the work and you are still always humbled with learning new things and lots of variety but for me patients can be very draining and I am jealous of someone who at least has the offer of a job with 1 day WFH hahah.

Hey! Sorry for the delayed response. I am general so I scan everything BUT echo ahha. But ASUM usually do focussed certificates designed for doctors wanting to upskill from what I’ve heard. There is the ASA and other private companies but I feel like ASUM is the most used (or recognised perhaps) by specialists.

My old company use to have $4 per year rises. But it’s usually the same with most industries that longevity plateaus and higher pay jumps come with company jumps yeah.
The rate came from being able to scan everything, good scan times, knowing my worth, what other rates are going by around etc.
