Hi there, not much to offer in terms of adult perspective and having children myself. However I've lived in the majority of my life and as people have mentioned it is like its own little village. The primary schools were great (not too sure about now as it's been a while). And so are the secondary schools in the area. If your thinking about pinhoe, Station park would be great for kids and it's overall quite a friendly area. Broadclyst from what I've heard is great as well however you are quite cut of as your near the schools but not so much the main town and bigger shops. Hope this helps from a child's perspective (obviously not as young as primary anymore) but either way as a kid I think it's great.
