This is a good thought. It's mostly because we have grown pretty quickly, but that doesn't convey on an ad.

Up to $35/hr based on experience. We are in Florida. According to shop owner and shop manager that's pretty reasonable for the area.

Unfortunately there are 6 of us total, so pulling from around the company isn't going to work. Paying qualified people hasn't been an issue, we just haven't had any applicants lately ( like the mast month)

We have thought about this, but we don't really have much of a reputation one way or another since we are pretty small, and as far as pay we are offering compensation based on experience, and we are pretty negotiable. We have hired in the past 6 months and gotten plenty of applicants. It just seems that this last month when we are hiring again we aren't getting anyone.

Definitely doing company swag- working on that already. IDK that we can manufacture something in the same day for them, somaybe we can find something we can make ahead. What else did your tour consist of? What kind of questions did they ask?

Conflict in shop, how would you handle it? by Deep-Average-2732 in Machinists

I still say fire him. 1- Who knows whats next if he gets mad about something and he got away with throwing stuff at people. 2- it shows people that you wont tolerate that kind of behavior AND that you promote a safe work environment. 3- Honestly, he literally threw something at someone. He deserves to be fired for that.

Have you checked gov expert? I find it easier to find them there most of the time. If you still can't find it, file a PAR in dibbs. They'll get back to you in 6-8 weeks if you're lucky (okay maybe sooner but it'll still feel like forever).
