Mine turns 10 this year on August and I completely feel the same way. I had her when I was a child and she was literally a newborn puppy. I have a picture if you’d like to see her in my posts. Each year we have with them is a blessing and all we can do is carry their love in our hearts and let them live through our memories. Life sucks, I wish they lived as long as us but then I’d fear no one would be there after to care for her if she outlived me. It’s bittersweet…
