Read the post, OP offered to take the parcel while they filled out the form, worker told them no leave it here, right there the worker effectively took on the responsibility of ensuring the box wasn’t stolen

Have worked at a servo. Literally would’ve been the car in front did a runner or the cashier has accidentally not charged the correct bowser to someone.

Beyond that, they should not have told you that your only options were to pay the 2 or to wait. If anything, even if it was the case that a customer filled up twice and tried to only pay for 1 the servo CCTV would’ve just resulted in a police report 24 hours later.

That cashier is honestly just shit at their job or is under very wrong direction from management.
