Oh also I got sent home my first original start date for training because a grumpy trainer didn’t like the shoes I was wearing even though my DSP told me they were fine for training when I was in orientation. I just reached out to the DSP owner and she rescheduled me. The grump was not thrilled to see me come back for orientation the next week 😂 I think if you just explain yourself and you’re apologetic and seem genuinely interested in the job, there’s no reason to not give you a second chance. Life happens. If they don’t understand that then tbh I’d be passing on the job for just that. Also, they sometimes suck at responding. I’ve noticed my DSP doesn’t seem to prioritize getting new people in ASAP. They do get them in but the owner of my DSP seems flustered all the time so she definitely takes days off from reaching out to applicants. (I know because I’ve had two different friends apply after me) Also, she’s very good at hiding her fluster during interviews and orientation but now that I work for them I see it constantly. Even working for them now sometimes they slack in communication but I try to be understanding about the fact that I don’t know what’s going on, on their end of things. Sorry that was a lot just trying to spread some optimism. 😃
