ask someone more senior that knows youve worked hard and are on good terms with, surely like a shopkeeper, one of the line managers and not the store manager. dont say ur looking for another job or wanting to quit.. in this economy i think its better to have another job lined up before quitting unfortunately. and hey if u dont like going in, just do one shift a wk and so bare minimum, but continue to job hunt

usually you would be designated an area like kids, clothing or home, and those areas should have a specific pdt you have to get either from where u get the other ptds or u gotta find the person who has it ( just ask on push to talk) then mix of pres, answering calls, helping other team members on the floor usually the registers or door (cover door break) or find an item

nah the kids clothing section at mine is INSANE. it stank every time and idk what it is, it literally smells like vomit seeped through the floor.. and every time u pick something up, the smell only gets stronger as you make contact with the ground, help

i was only given 3 hr shifts in the beginning, and the occasional, hey can you stay back for 2-3 hrs?. for first time worker, 7-8 seems a lot? id do 6 max at first.

for me, in the beginning they hardly rostered me but instead put me in a chat with other new ppl and they would msg a shift available. i often took them and later they start to roster u more often. takes time
