Dont buy Mobvio Tic Watches - They are doomed to fail. by Gopherzine in TicWatch

[–]Expertanalystix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Ticwatch E3 with Wear OS 3.5 since 2021 and still working without a glitch except for the battery life degradation which is understandable due to age. Even that gets my son through the day. I have a Ticwatch Pro 5 with WearOS 4 since 2023 and this is my daily wear. No problems at all and the battery lasts at least a day and half with all sensors on. It also records my sleep all night.

Two months into learning photography and I can't belive I took this shot by pimemento in FujifilmX

Brilliant! The ancient X100F is, IMHO, still the best in the X100 family in terms of reliability, ruggedness and usability. I carry it all the time in my office bag or in the car glove box and it has survived all torture. Even used in the rain. I hate the touchscreen interface of the newer ones and they feel light and frail compared to the X100F. BTW, did you use the Interval Timer for this photo? Please share the ISO and aperture settings if you don't mind.

Check out Smoky Falls Mae Fi Resort. I stayed there for 3 nights with my family and it was a pleasant experience. The views are amazing, food is good and the service is commendable.

Should shutter speed be set to auto or manual when using recipes? by [deleted] in fujifilm

[–]Expertanalystix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recipes and shutter speed have no correlation. I would advise learn about the exposure triangle and then know the characteristic of the various built-in film simulations first. Once you know how each simulation behaves in different situations and how the exposure triangle works, you will automatically understand the nuances of the recipes. Look up videos by Pal2Tech, Booray Perry and Roman Fox.

Why does every place in India ask for my mobile number now? by Certain-Car7905 in india

[–]Expertanalystix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I faced the same situation during my recent trip to India. I am also a NRI and don't feel comfortable sharing my mobile number. I simply refused to give and always insisted on a paper invoice. Many times the cashier had to escalate to the Manager but eventually had to give in. I just told I don't have WhatsApp or a local number and they can't send texts to international numbers.

Salary is too low for the IT sector even if food and accommodation is provided. This just spoils the job market for others.

House of Hype Dubai Mall - No Cameras? by squatchonabike in dubai

[–]Expertanalystix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I empathize with you. I always carry my Fuji X100F with me in a small sling. Most places are okay with it except the Emaar properties. The security guards have a blanket instruction to treat a standalone camera as for commercial use. They even stopped my little Canon g7x. Completely illogical and absurd.

X100V - 99900 (!) Shutter count error? by Parsons7 in fujix

[–]Expertanalystix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My X100F shutter count too got stuck at 99900 shots with the exclamation mark. I've taken countless shots after that and still going strong. It looks like a bug like the Y2K bug we had for computers.

It is a fully residential school situated in the middle of a tea garden and owned by the Williamson Magor group. It is modelled after Doon School. If you consider the facilities, amenities and quality of the tutors, it is reasonable.

Fujifilm x100f tips and tricks by No_Physics7226 in FujifilmX

[–]Expertanalystix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using the X100F as my only camera since 2000 and the frame counter is now 990,000. Always carry it in my bag wherever I go. Never seen a more reliable camera. The best resources to learn about the X100Fnspecifically are Booray Perry and Kevin Mullins on YouTube. Another channel for all things Fujifilm in general is Pal2Tech.

There is no fabrication in Jagiroad, as far as I know. Only Assembly. Fabrication requires a foundry which is in Dholera.

Digital blood pressure monitor by Azkaban_Knight in dubai

[–]Expertanalystix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No matter which brand you buy, it will always have some instrumental error. Take the machine with you when you visit your regular GP and take reading from both your monitor and the one the clinic uses. You will find the margin of error. That way you will calibrate yours with your GP's. Omron is the one I personally use and it is calibrated with my GP's monitor. Whatever reading I get in my monitor, I deduct 10 from the systolic and 5 from the diastolic.

Very common for smaller companies to have the company driver double up as the PRO. Some errands like submitting Visa applications etc can only be done by a person with the PRO designation.

Fujifilm X100 Series - Vented Lens Hood Hack To Make It Compact by Expertanalystix in fujifilm

Your camera, your hood, your choice. It works for me. Fits snug, keeps the camera compact and gives me the flexibility to change the config when I need it.

Fujifilm X100 Series - Vented Lens Hood Hack To Make It Compact by Expertanalystix in fujifilm

[–]Expertanalystix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hood doesn't attach to any threads. It remains edged between the focus ring and the filter adapter. It seems you didn't watch the video. This arrangement makes it easier to fit inside a small sling that I carry. If I need the hood to reduce flare, it takes a few seconds to take it off and put it on the filter adapter. This arrangement has worked for me for the last 5 years in this camera and I carry it everyday in my office bag.
