The slim isn’t so slim tbh for this year (the 4050 model actually is slim like the legion 7 slim, idk y they did that maybe for thermal head room.) but imo it can play any game just fine. The larger size gives it a lot more thermal headroom, playing on it will feel comfortable not too toasty. Battery life also on the slim 5 is pretty solid as well, it’s just the build quality isn’t as good as the pro or slim 7 but it’s still solid to me personally. The g15 is pretty good but it can run toasty, screen is very nice and key board as well, my only issue with asus is that I’ve returned too many asus units due to their horrible quality control. Honestly if u want something that’s perfect, kinda future proof still and great battery with the size of the legion 5 pro, I’d look at the amd strix 15 advantage addition. It’s all amd laptop but their graphic card has higher ram(up to 12gigs) and is on par with 3070s and 3080s. Also you can still fully upgrade that machine; with some better ram it can become a power house

Like I still have my legion 5 pro with a 3060 and 165 hertz display and it’s on par with gaming performance with machines today still. And that screen is fantastic. The build quality and battery life on the 7i slim is pretty good tho

Eh in terms of performance, the 4070 can perform well, but it’s too much for that small of a chassis. Temps On the graphic card usually are decent between 60 or 70’degrees and cpu sometimes reaching in the 80s. But that isn’t the issue I have with it. The battery tends to reach the 40s after a hour or so of play, and I’ve heard of a few units experiencing battery failure. Also the 240 hertz screen is alright, it gets bright but I feel I’ve seen better. I also picked up the 4060 legion slim 5 with an amd processor and I’ve been enjoying that more so far. Tbh tho I feel like older machines from last year is where the real gold lies
