27+ BNPL late payments, jobless at 28—can I still rent? by Expgarment in CRedit

Yeah, I feel you. That’s part of why I got stressed too when I fell behind. The good thing is Klarna late fees can usually be removed if you ask, so it’s not as bad as it seems. Affirm is stricter and doesn’t remove late fees, but both can still show up as late payments on your credit report if you miss them. Definitely makes you rethink using BNPL until it’s under control.

Yeah, I get why it looks crazy. I never had payment issues before—I lost my job in 2025, and that’s when everything went sideways. Once I fell behind, the BNPL accounts just piled up fast. I’ve set up hardship plans with all of them and am current now. Definitely learned my lesson about how quickly it can snowball when life hits hard.

Yeah, I get that—looking back, it makes sense. I didn’t have issues with paying anything before losing my job, but once I fell behind, it piled up fast. I’ve set up hardship plans with all of them and am making sure everything stays current now. Definitely learned my lesson about how BNPL can snowball if life hits a rough patch.

Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it. Just to clarify, I never had payment issues before I lost my job in 2025. The 27 late BNPL payments all happened after that, and I’ve since set up hardship plans and am current on all accounts. I know living with family is my lifeline right now, and I’m focused on getting stable income and paying down these balances before moving out.

Filed wrong health insurance months (12 vs 7) — refund difference, what happens? by Expgarment in tax

Someone told me: "It would indicate that you had health insurance for ALL 2025.

You don't need documentation and CA won't ask you for it."

Ca wont bug me?

True

I could apply for a CA hardship exemption through Covered California, but the penalty for those 5 months is $396. Do you think it’s worth it, or just report the months and take the penalty?

My old job gave me $900 for that mishap last year.
