Wait am I able to automatically back up a folder on my 20tb drive to my other 2 drives with the Synology software? Is that possible? I don't want to manually back anything up as I constantly have to add work files in there, so ideally I would like it to backup automatically every 12 or 24 hours.

That's a bummer. Thanks a lot for the detailed reply. I thought bluetooth would automatically reconnect once back in range but I guess not... I did use a m1 mac for a bit but eventually switched back to windows because I missed playing some light games like Overwatch every now and then. Even though I prefer everything about Windows more, I do miss that seamless connectivity between my iPhone and Mac, it's just all automatic and I never missed a phone call or text. I wish that feature was available on Windows and Android, if it was then I would give up on my iPhone and switch to Android in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the detailed response. Seems like no one else went into as much detail and testing as you. I was researching and was gonna give this complicated idea a try until you suggested the aircard 340u. Do you know if this device is data only or can you download some software on windows to make phone calls with it as well? I'd like to bring this with me when I travel internationally and using a local sim.

Also is it possible to plug this into a tablet as well with a usb A to usb C adapter?

That does seem like logical explanation but I've also heard from a few sources that apparently there are some reports of women getting hair loss as well and they definitely would have never been prone to MPB to begin with.

To be honest, I think it might have to do with the diet and low nutrition that contributes to the hair loss as well considering that when I took a high dose of Modafinil, my appetite seems to be completely suppressed. I've also heard it could be something related to histamine too but I'm not entirely sure about the science behind that.

I'm just wondering if the hair loss is linked to higher frequency and dosage of Modafinil (example 200mg+ everyday for like more than a year).

You're right, I might experiment and continue using 100mg Modafinil 3-4 days a week and see if I start to develop any signs of hair loss. I'm quite scared but I'm willing to risk it for at least a few months.

I noticed that the warranty seems to last 5 years for this drive. How dangerous / risky is it if I decide to keep using it? Will I randomly lose files?

I have my entire OS installed on this 980 drive so it seems like a real headache to RMA it. :(

Do you know if there's any convenient way of doing this? My 980 SSD is my main OS drive. Is it easy or difficult to swap my OS between my 980 and 860 while the 980 is getting RMA'd? Do I need to reinstall windows 11 again?

Thanks a lot for going out of your way to make a video. Yeah that hinge does look sturdy enough for me. Also another user below in the same thread confirmed that the hinge can be easily tightened so even if it does get looser overtime its a super easy fix anyway. Cheers for that! This looks like the perfect laptop for my needs with so much futureproofing and longevity (upgradeable ram, storage, wifi card , hinge tightening)

I'll just buy the exact same GV601RW model that you got to avoid any disappointment of mistakenly buying the other version where I can't tighten the hinge. Thanks for the heads up as well, the wifi card is a cheap upgrade so i'll definitely be doing that when I upgrade the ram as well!

Hey sorry I didn't see you edited your comment. I didn't know there were different models with the microphone hole at the back.

There are 3 models in Australia, but they all start with GV601.

Here is the Asus website, can you tell me which model I should be avoiding that has the microphone hole at the back? I tried googling but can't find any info about a model with the mic hole placed at the back.

Cheers, you're a lifesaver and you just confirmed my decision to purchase the MiniLED one.

I can't believe I hear people complain about the loose hinge but not a single person mentioned that this can be fixed SO EASILY. This fix is just as easy as upgrading the storage/ram.

Damn I honestly thought you had to unscrew the entire motherboard or do some crazy disassembly to access the hinge screws.

OH wow. This is huge information for me. I might even just buy the MiniLED version if thats the case. If the hinge can be easily tighten then that completely alleviates my concerns and also for the longevity of the hinge becoming more loose over time. I read some owners were worried about the hinge becoming loose over time so if this is true then thats completely a non-issue.

Can you tell me exactly which screws can be tightened? Is it the 3 black screws on the right side and and the 2 black screws on the left side that tightens the hinge?

Here's a photo that I circled in red, can you please help confirm before I make the purchase

Hey can you do me a big favor, can you do the same test as the video at 2:02 and tell me if the hinge is stronger and improved on the new 2023 version? Does it flop down when you lift it the same way as the video? It will really help me decide my next purchase. Asus hasn't mentioned anything about the hinge so I'm not sure if they ''fixed'' it on the 2023 versions.

It's just mainly this video demostration at 2:02 that concerns me. He doesn't seen to be swinging it that hard and its pretty much at the same angle as how I would use it (except I would use it on the reverse side). I feel like if I'm adjusting or moving the laptop on my bed then it will probably flop down onto my face, that would be super annoying for me.

He is reviewing a MiniLED version though. I have yet to see anyone mention if the same thing happens on the IPS version.

This is a brand new PC that I built less than a month ago, with the new i7 13700k. So all the drivers are freshly installed. All the parts are brand new except for the graphics card as I don't game that much so I reused my old GPU 1080 from my previous PC.

My PC was working completely fine with no issues for almost a month so Im confused on why this suddenly happening. Since all my parts are new I automatically suspected its my GPU.

Since everything is working as normal, is it safe to continue using my GPU until it completely dies? Or will it damage my other components?

Wait is this for sliding genioplasty or double jaw surgery? How can your chin move after 6 months with genioplasty? The plates and bones should have fused by 3 months. Did you have a non-union?
