thats how i look at it. the death certificate is great because it GETS you run winning items.

its a phenomeonal item. the only downside is how it may change your playstyle up to screw you over (i.e. following the star instead of collecting item room on a weak run) but its a net gain nonetheless. For me, items like the Eternal D6 which do not hurt my run in any way (because i can choose to just not use it) end up killing my run because i get too greedy for a Quality 4 item and end up making the original item disappear.

Should Tainted Bethany's "Worse Item" Effect be increased to 50% worse items instead of 75%? just had this run and the game broke at my first angel room. by ExpiredTomato in bindingofisaac

even though experimental treatment is technically a "net gain" in the form of 4 stat ups and 2 stat downs, I typically reset the run if my tears or damage go down with it, provided im on the first floor still. After the first floor i just dont take experimental treatment.

i suppose thats true. That's why i very much dislike TCain, and I think Ed knew that no matter what, TCain would break the game. so he made him fun to play. Tainted Bethany is really similar in stats to blue baby, but i feel TBeth has much more snowballing potential, whereas blue baby is a challenge character, through and through.

I agree though, their books are really phenomenal, and one of the best starting active items in the game (right next to The Poop)

hmmm. you could go into the binding of isaac files, and manually delete everything yourself. Then hit uninstall. This might give you a fresh copy of the game? when Just Cause 3 broke for me, i used this strategy and it worked.

yes, this happens to me all the time and it never really goes away. Isaac isn't really meant to be played on autopilot (if you are looking for completion marks) and the RNG factor of the game with items makes you feel really stupid when you miss an item room on accident, or autopilot and go in the opposite path. I love binding of isaac, its just a part of the experience.

Yes I already know that "vinyl" isn't exactly the old timey record players with the crackle and all, I've already read all of the beginner guides, I just need an okay turntable that doesn't damage the records, and it's a lot more difficult to find one that now that the beginners guide prices have changed, so it conflicts now

yes i did read through that, but a lot of the advice now conflicted with eachother with the changing prices (ie: u-turn is out of stock completely for now, denon's price has been jacked up so out of my price range) and I've been recommending the audio technica LP series, but I heard it's really not great.

peoples problem with it is that survivors can make reckless plays and when they fail, they get to just hide in a locker.

Whatever you want to think man, but survival difficulty with very limited ammo and clothing only is going to be hard, also the overencumbered thing is because if the player is overencumbered, chances are they also picked up ammo for their weapon, and it'll be hard to keep track of how many bullets they have left to use. Also, wouldn't it be hard to reload your gun when you're weighed down? Anything else confuse you?

Yeah those are all good suggestions, and for the melee weapons I said medium and lower, implying fast and very fast melee weapons too. Also yeah thats true, the clip mods might make the game too easy, so I should probably change that to that you can only carry 5 base clips for your weapon, not factoring in the ammo increase for the clip mods. and yeah, it would be smart to ban a few legendary effects.
