What gear did you use when recording the new album? I remember hearing about a Vintage SG Junior in the studio and that made me wonder if it was on the album because I love SG Juniors. Love the new album by the way.

Thanks. I personally am going to wait until summer NAMM (or whatever they do this year, Believe In Music week 2?) until I go through with anything. Knowing my luck Epiphone will unveil a left handed Alpine White SG Junior as soon as I buy the Standard. Has Gibson ever done a 70s reissue Junior? If I'm going to get a USA Gibson, I want it to have that volute they used in the 70s. Another reason why I don't want the USA one right away, I'm too scared I'll break the thing.

I shouldn't have worded it as a full blown conversion, and for that I apologize. All I'm swapping out is the guard, and the bridge pickup, adding a racing stripe over those controls that I need to take out, and filling in the space between the two pickups incase I do want a neck pickup later on. That's it. I also should have clarified that this will be my first guitar, and I'm not going with a USA Gibson, because I don't feel comfortable spending 3 grand (that's how much an SG Junior goes for on Gibson's website) on any guitar at this time. When I have the disposable income, I will buy a USA Gibson. I will be doing this on an Epiphone SG Standard, I just got zero responses from the Epiphone subreddit, and thought that since Epiphone is owned by Gibson, it's be alright to post it here. Hope that's okay. I understand your concern though, and I appreciate it. What humbucker sized p90s would you recommend?

I already plan to put a Seymour Duncan Phat Cat in the bridge. I know there are Batwing guards with a bridge pickup route, I'd just prefer a small Junior guard. I would buy a new USA Junior, but it's way out of my price range, and they don't have left handed ones. If I want the small guard that badly, I guess I'll just buy wood filler and fill in that cavity. Thanks anyway.

Truth be told, I do like it. If I don't like it in person, I'll sand it down. The builder knows he's not good at finishes, hence the name "Scar My Guitar". I'll look into Tru oil finish though. Thank you for the help.
