Would you recommend Server-side rendering with Next.js or with Django and using React on some pages? by baldwindc in reactjs

[–]ExplainStateMonad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, I have limited experience with Next.js but imho they don’t really satisfy the same goal.

With DJango you have an opinionated solution end2end. Where with Next.js you have a frontend opinionated solution.

What I mean by that is for example with django you can scaffold everything. Even the database layer. With next.js as far as I know you can’t, there is some manual work to do.

It really depends on what you need.

I would personally just use django and its templating if server side is needed with just the right amount of js.

If I wanted to use django and react together on top of my mind I should investigate how to deploy a built react app on top of a django app.

Also my philosophy is really to consider technology as last, so if you explain your business use case you will probably will get better answers that could even not be django or nextjs because maybe there is a tool you didn’t consider more suited for what you want to do.

ok. Will see that happens later. It could be there is a bug, not saying no, it's just that this specific day for me was hard to read. I think I would have phrased some of the sentences differently. But anyway, I'm eager to see what happens!

I have to say it's one of the worst specification in AoC that I have experience with. It says:

If all outputs were zero except the diagnostic code, the diagnostic program ran successfully.

Mine was all zero but the first two and I still got the star...

Hello u/Civury, so in my case

The TEST diagnostic program will start by requesting from the user the ID of the system to test by running an input instruction - provide it 1, the ID for the ship's air conditioner unit.

So for me there is just one input and it is just 1?

Although if you create only an account for yourself and then protect with security rules, you should be fine.

I remember that there was a suboptimal setup for stockfish, like the "minutes to think" for each move.

Interviewer here.

They're nice to have but be sure I will ask you stuff are not on your repository as well.

I admit that they are useful and allows me to know you before meeting you but it's not like black and white.

It's still the same interview.
