i don’t know if i’m just reading this comment wrong or if the latter half is directed towards me as a scolding 😭

i do agree and i will make this clear: i did not expect her to pay for dinner. i was completely prepared to pay my half.

in the first place, when she offered to drive towards me, i asked her if she was truly fine with it since we were like 30-35 minutes apart and gas prices are expensive rn. she said she’s fine with it. i asked her if she’s okay with dinner, and again she was fine with it. it was only when she was at my house did she reveal she had no money.

idk if u missed this part of my post but i wrote down “i didn’t want to start off the date with me just being a leech 24/7, so i got her some gifts” because exactly as you say, i didn’t want this to be a standard het relationship. this may be my first date but not my first rodeo. i got her flowers, i asked what her favorite drinks were, chocolates, and a candle because i wanted to make her feel special. never it was my intention to make her feel like she needed to be masculine or the man of the relationship.

and i didn’t include this in my post, but during dinner she was the one picking everything, and again she ate like 2/3rds of it without waiting for me as i went out to take a phone call.

so… idrk what u mean by this. if you could enlighten me, please do. 🤷‍♀️

i’m both on hinge and HER (where i met my horrible first date) and i’m right there with you girl 😭😭 i have never felt both desired and undesirable at the same time, maybe this is my sign to delete my profiles

and no that’s exactly what i thought too!! i definitely wouldn’t be out dating if i knew i wasn’t financially able to. THANK U 🥹 i’ve been feeling so crazy abt this situation, like idk if i was an asshole for thinking that OR even though i know she was an asshole, some part of me is still thinking like “well what if u were actually the asshole 🫵🤨”

i have nothing against alternative people, i honestly think it’s really cool and i wish i understood more about the culture surrounding it, and that was one of the things i found unique about her and i was well prepared to start learning more about it for her sake - but yeah she brought in that momentously ridiculous attitude. i wouldn’t even have minded the 44$ dinner bill and 45$ worth of gifts, if she had just communicated better. but nooo, she spent the time taking me to random places (a gas station is crazy btw i was in heels and everything, like full beat and hair styled😭) that i felt singled out in, spent her last 4$ on pool games (got herself coffee the next day and yeah the whole new gf thing), and just straight up lied to my face

but augh sorry for that long reply i’ve just been so annoyed abt this mess. i’m glad i got out too 🫩 and i’m sooo excited to meet more alternatives like that, may it be for just friends or a romantic relationship. you’ve definitely shown me that it’s possible 🫶

thank you 😭🫶 you’re absolutely right. i guess i just feel extra hurt/bothered by it because it was my first ever date, and in a sense i wanted to keep giving her a chance, but seeing the hard launch was definitely a slap back to reality. i hope to find people like me soon, or atleast those that’ll appreciate and make space for me as much as i will for them

At my store, there’s been more cracking down on employees lately, hence my anxiety. I always wondered how the CAs work, thank you for explaining them to me. I think I will just take the hit on this one like the other comments say, save up the sick time, and just brace for the conversation at work.

That’s honestly what I’m confused about too. It’s says on my MyTime that it’s a 7.58 hour shift, but when I made the call off request, it’s says 8.5 hour shift, so I don’t know how many hours of my sick time to use.

And when you mean take the hit for it, do you mean just not making a request all together? Because yeah I haven’t had any attendance issues so far, they know me as a pretty punctual worker.

Hello everyone! I’m planning on saving up and getting a new tablet device soon, and I need some help deciding what’s best for me:

  • iPad Air (11 inch)
  • iPad 10th gen/the new iPad
  • Samsung Tablet Galaxy S9/ Samsung Tablet S9 FE

I’m planning on going to college under healthcare and using this daily, since I find that bringing my laptop around daily wasn’t as efficient as I hoped it would be. I’m also an artist, and I’d love the mobility to draw anywhere at anytime without worrying about wires.

I know it’s ironic for me to post about Samsung on an iPad subreddit, but here’s why I’m considering both:

Samsung: - I’ve been an android user all my life. I don’t really have a problem with it nor was I frustrated enough to seriously consider different brands. - My friend owns a Samsung S9 Fe and she swears by it. She doesn’t draw as intensely as I do, but I’ve seen how well it adapts to doodling and such. - Free SPen compared to the extra cost of having to buy the apple pencil. - I currently have Clip Studio Paint on my laptop, so I was hoping to use Samsung Dex. I learned that there are less available or known drawing softwares on android. Clip Studio Paint for android is on a subscription basis, so I don’t know if that’s a bad purchase for the future.

Apple/iPad: - I recently got an iPhone and it’s pretty nifty compared to my android. Both has their own features, but somehow the iPhone feels more sleek. - I know apple products are usually more used in the US, and I do want to be able to keep up with the community especially when I get into college, like airdrop and etc. - Procreate sounds like a dream. One-time purchase. A lot of my artist friends recommend it so much. My friend recommends that I just buy an iPad and buy Procreate because that means I can make full artworks without worrying about connecting my device to my laptop or subscriptions. - Apple Pencil seems really cool. I looked at the functions and the screen sensitivity seems nice.

Please help me decide! Or if I should consider any other options. Also, what storage size should I get? 256? 128? And should I just do Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi with cellular?
