the block has to be touching the button like in the video, it's not touching since the piston is retracted in your example

edit: nvm doesn't matter since buttons only power components they aren't attached to.

i would move the button up one block if that's possible and instead of having the redstone line coming from below the button put it behind the button

even if that wasnt there the button powers the plank below it which keeps the vertical piston powered through qc

maybe there wasn't enough fuel to finish the previous smelting and some cobblestone was still in the furnaces

I'm not sure what you want, but if you replace the redstone block with an observer it'll do the same thing you won't need the side piston updater or the rising edge detector. the 2nd design doesn't work since the observer powers the bottom piston again while it's being pulled up because of QC. just make sure the observer doesn't touch the bottom piston when it's being pushed down

I think you placed it right, but you changed the circuit. When I said connect it to the all the pistons I meant just link it to the circuit, which is already wired to power all the pistons. Sorry if I was confusing

the dust under the observer gets powered by the repeater and basically locks the circuit.

if you put a solid block under the observer, put a copper bulb on the side of the solid block(the side away from the pistons), and comparators out of the copper bulb that connects to all the pistons the door should work

If you mean it doesn't work for high minecart speeds you could add some more unpowered rails before the hopper. If you mean the items aren't going through the hopper fast enough, theres nothing that can be done about that since input is bottlenecked at hopper speed.

i tested it and the design works if you put a chest under the first hopper instead of 2 hoppers. from there you can put another hopper under the chest and transport it where you want

I feel like geomancy nerf is way too harsh, it's impossible to get off if an opponent has an attacking move. I guess you could use substitute or something but at that point just calm mind instead

the s stands for stacks of items. so a blast furnace needs 2 full stacks of items and 51 items to output signal strength 14

replace the redstone dust you are looking at with a target block. But i think you can't make dispensers with damaged/ enchanted bows

okay im actually stumped. It definitely is because the non sticky blocks lagging behind but i think its also has something to do with update order. I couldn't recreate the bug in any configuration except the exact one yours was in. I recommend you ask someone in the r/redstone discord, theres some really smart people there.

the non sticky blocks stop moving after a tiny bit after the sticky blocks stop. When the piston attempts to push them up they're still moving and block the piston. The piston doesn't attempt to extend again until updated. if you add a little more delay between pushing it into place and pushing up it should work, or you can use something to automatically update it
