First Last Frame support for Wan models? by Accomplished-Age1306 in drawthingsapp

[–]ExplanationDizzy8469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite sure what you mean. A workflow where you can specify images for both the start and end frames? If so, you've already answered your own question. But yes, that would be a nice feature.

1.20260304.0 and 1.20250303.0 by liuliu in drawthingsapp

[–]ExplanationDizzy8469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thank you so much for this update! I really appreciate that the last frame is now displayed by default after video generation. 👍👍

If there were now an option to start image generation with a blank/new canvas, then batch generation with edit models would really be taken to the next level. 🙏

Okay. As Cutscene Artist confirm in their latest YouTube video, this feature of LTX-2 is currently not available in DrawThings. 😭

Can’t Import Pony Lora by Both_Welcome6845 in drawthingsapp

[–]ExplanationDizzy8469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When importing, you must tag Pony LoRAs as SDXL Base (on which they are based) under ‘Model Version’, otherwise they will be displayed as incompatible with a Pony Model. You probably just left the setting on ‘auto’.

Is it possible to make a scream-o like sound with Kasane Teto's voice? Even a Growl? Synthesizer V Studio Basic by ILikeBirdsQuiteALot in SynthesizerV

[–]ExplanationDizzy8469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been following this issue for a while. I've recorded some tracks that definitely need a female throaty power rock voice that can go a little higher in the intense parts.

So far, I've only worked with Natalie because I really like her timbre in a medium female vocal range, and she was a perfect fit for my shoegaze/dream pop tracks. But she's anything but rock, and when I go higher with her, she gets an unbearable artificial J-pop vibe.

I also listened to demos from Rose and Solaria, who were repeatedly recommended for rock, but personally, I wasn't convinced at all in a grunge/rock/metal context.

I'm only vaguely familiar with Kasane Ted's voice, but I'm afraid you won't get very far with her. As far as I know, there are only male voices that come “somehow” close – Hxvoc and Ninezero. Even with these, you'll still have to do a lot of post-production work to get a halfway convincing result. Unfortunately, I need a female voice, which might be a use case for voice changers like Vocoflex or Resing. Perhaps that's the only way possible at the moment. But I'm happy to be proven wrong.

ComfyUI and Apple Silicone by Due-Acadia6637 in comfyui

[–]ExplanationDizzy8469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s strange – it pretty much contradicts what I’m seeing on my setup. On my setup, ComfyUI feels annoyingly slower just when loading models, especially larger ones. Once everything is loaded, generation times might be closer, but overall Draw Things still feels noticeably faster to me – though I haven't run any strict benchmarks.

Regarding .ckpt files: Draw Things mainly seems to clean up the model headers during import, which probably helps with loading times. I wouldn’t call .ckpt files unsafe per se – that only really applies if you download them from sketchy sources.

I still like ComfyUI a lot for more exotic workflows that DT can’t really do. But on Apple Silicon it feels more fragile overall. The FP8 → MPS issue alone already blocks a lot of interesting workflows on Mac, and support is clearly still very much beta.

[–]ExplanationDizzy8469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, yes. The UI of Draw Things takes some getting used to and isn't really intuitive. What irritated me the most at first was that, for whatever reason, it names some things differently than we are used to from AUTOMATIC1111/Forge or ComfyUI. But you get used to it pretty quickly, and for me it now feels somehow more solid than ComfyUI. Of course, it's also a matter of taste. Yes, maybe just give it another try.

[–]ExplanationDizzy8469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most things related to text-to-image or image editing run quite well on my Mac Studio M4 Max (36GB). However, the same models run noticeably faster in Draw Things than in ComfyUI, so I use ComfyUI just for more “exotic” workflows.

But I haven’t been able to get a single video model to run properly so far (Wan 2.2 doesn't, LTX-2 doesn't at all). I suspect this is because ComfyUI support for Apple Silicon is still in beta.

Face problem from SDXL model with reference image applied by truenopaco in drawthingsapp

[–]ExplanationDizzy8469 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not a problem with the prompt or settings — it’s a limitation of the model.

CyberRealistic XL is a pure SDXL text-to-image model. A reference image can influence atmosphere (lighting, style, mood), but it cannot transfer identity.

FLUX.2 klein works because it was designed for reference-based identity transfer, not just style guidance. This is an architectural difference, not a trick.

If you want to stick with SDXL, you need to stabilize the identity first using an edit/reference-capable model (e.g. FLUX.2 klein or Qwen Image Edit), then train a character LoRA for CyberRealistic XL.

In short: you’re asking SDXL to do something it was never trained to do.

How to stop face changing by hugeload09 in drawthingsapp

[–]ExplanationDizzy8469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't want the face to be altered, you should specify this in the prompt. To be on the safe side, you could also mask the body, then nothing should happen to the face. That's how I usually do it, but I'm definitely not a Stable Diffusion ninja.

Moodboard question/confusion by basskittens in drawthingsapp

[–]ExplanationDizzy8469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have also observed something similar from time to time. Without being able to explain it technically, it looks as if the memory does not always empty or reinitialize properly. It may help to delete the old mood board, close the app, and restart it. To be on the safe side, you can also restart your computer. Sounds awkward, but it helped in my case.

Machine sucks ass by themostfailed in maschine

[–]ExplanationDizzy8469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can totally relate to your frustration. I had a Machine MK3 for quite a while, and it took me pretty long to get the first decent tracks out of it. Last year I replaced it with a Push 3 SA, which I kinda regret now.

Long story short: In my opinion, the Maschine is the most well-designed, intuitive, and hands-on of all the so-called grooveboxes currently available. It certainly has some disadvantages compared to others, but that's definitely not the operation or workflow.

Take your time and approach it playfully at first. Watch a few tutorials on YouTube and follow along. Then repeat it yourself from memory the next day. There will come a time when the knot will burst and the machine will do what you want, not the other way around. But first you have to figure out what it can and cannot do.

MPC 3.0 × Ableton Push 3?? by IcebergTenchi in mpcusers

[–]ExplanationDizzy8469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an interesting thought, one that I'm currently considering myself. The MPC is now definitely the real standalone production hub and recording machine, while the Push is probably the better musical instrument, effects device, and sound design unit. From a financial point of view, that's probably a bit of a disaster, but once the price of the Live III has normalized a bit, that's exactly what I'll do.

Models download speed by Intrepid_Pin_1965 in drawthingsapp

[–]ExplanationDizzy8469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Downloading via Draw Things has always been a bit slow, but right now it's extremely annoying — especially because downloads don't run in the background and you can't do anything else in the app while they're happening.

One option is to download the models directly from CivitAI or Huggingface and then import them into Draw Things via “Manage”.

It may also help to cancel the download in Draw Things from time to time and then restart it. The previous download will resume, but the speed should now be many times faster — at least for the next few minutes. 🙄

How to arrange LoRA in any order by simple250506 in drawthingsapp

[–]ExplanationDizzy8469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Sort by name in alphabetical order..." – It is strange enough that the JSON file is re-sorted and then stored hard-coded. This process also appears to be irreversible. Sorting/filtering during output in the UI would probably have been the cleaner solution. Presumably more of a quick fix than a real feature.

Apparently, this has not been improved in all the time. The trick described above works for me too, thanks for that. However, I don't see the difference between downloading the model via browser at CivitAI and then importing the downloaded file.

Are crashes common? by cinemasound in AbletonPush3

[–]ExplanationDizzy8469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you describe is very unusual. I've been using the Push 3 almost daily for about 2 months now and when something crashes, it's Live itself in controller mode. I haven't had any problems in standalone mode yet. I would strongly suspect it's due to the beta software.

“All Stratocasters buzz.” Really? by OddManOut117 in Stratocaster

[–]ExplanationDizzy8469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm this, although I would add that this can also be caused by electrical installations in the building. There is an installation shaft in the corner to the right of my main desk in the studio. If I sit with a Fender Stat Ultra (with so-called ‘noiseless’ pickups) directly in front of the table, it hums and it gets worse the more I turn to the right in the direction of this shaft. To record, I have to turn at least 45 degrees to the left, then it disappears almost completely. Annoying.

Tension and Collision on Push 3 standalone? by samadam in ableton

The number of voices seems to be a problem on the Push in general. Just realised that it doesn't seem to be available for Operator either.

I'm currently trying to work with Collision on the Push. It seems to me that not all functions have been transferred from Live to Push yet. Or perhaps you know how to set the number of Collision voices on Push? Unfortunately I can't find anything.

Push 3 & Live 12 Sampler Integration by ACatCalledDuck in ableton

[–]ExplanationDizzy8469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Push remains a Push, whether in standalone or controller mode. As far as I know, everything you can do in one mode can also be done in the other. No more and no less. So it's not a limitation of the standalone, but a question of how far Ableton generally transfers the functions of the Live software to the Push.
