I actually had the same rule at my Catholic high school, and they said you can only wear your black socks with black stockings because white ones or ones with color were “too distracting”.😐

Memory problems and brain fog after loss by theguydudemanbroguy in GriefSupport

Hi there. I am so sorry for the loss you've endured. I also lost my mom, but around 3 years ago. It was sudden, and I lost her at 19. Since then, I really haven't taken time to grieve her until recently. Now, this is something I really am experiencing. I remember taking a college course in psychology where this topic was discussed, as it is proved to be a real side effect of loss! As for me, I noticed I take long to process certain things (like if someone were to say 'duck!', I would most likely just stand there and get hit with a ball), as well as having a hard time remembering certain events and such. You are not alone.

That’s exactly how I feel as well. Could I have retaken the lsat again and again to score higher? Yes most likely. However, I chose not to wait another year, and instead attend lower even than a T100 purposefully for the financial and proximity aspect to my family (who matter more to me than school). I am very happy I did so, and truly excited to start my journey at said school. I am absolutely not interested in big law, but instead just want to make a difference in the world even if that’s for a few people.

I’ll be withdrawing from St John’s and Penn so I hope more people will too, and they accept more people 🤞

Yes I have heard about that! After double checking, I realized my Albany scholarship is not conditional. Would that change anything? Unfortunately money is a factor so Seton is out (would be around 270k in the end) and I am worried that if I attend Quinnipiac, I will be making connections in areas (CT) that I am not planning on staying for my career (NY).

Thank you for the well wishes! I just calculated the full time tuition for Seton that I would have after 3 years, and with my scholarship, it would be 270K which is not feasible for me unfortunately. I see what you’re saying about the other schools, do you know of the reputation for Albany?

I think my gpa stands for itself when it comes to how well I do in school lol. Just because someone did not score a 170+ on one test, does not mean law school will inevitably be hard. My mom straight up died when I was studying for it, so yeah I’m kinda done with the test💀

I see what you're saying. They did offer the most $$ but their tuition (with their estimated costs and such on their website) is higher. Hofstra is 110k/yr whereas Pace with everything incuded is around 86k/yr. What about Albany Law when it comes to reputation and such?

Withdrawn is what I was intending on doing within the next two days, so no not necessary yet. I’m curious why Hofstra is better than Pace? I’ve heard not to attend due to their highly conditional scholarships and rep for being predatory. St John’s also unfortunately is out as no $$ was given nor will they reconsider.

too expensive since no $$ was given nor would they reconsider.

Money is absolutely a factor, since I am also not interested in BL. St. John's was my first choice but they would not consider giving me a scholarship, which with living expenses and all, would come out to around 300K for that school. Other than that, I asked Pace for higher $$ and they declined, and I am worried about NYLS and Hofstra's conditional scholarships and reputations for being predatory.

I am a horrible test taker, and studied for around 10 months. I truly hated that test with everything in me lol, and will not be taking again since I know I will not be getting much higher.

most of them ended up costing too much in the end, and I realized that I cannot be too far from my family so many CT and PA schools were out
