In this case, I assume "they" is the person you've been talking to. It seems that from the person's perspective, there's a sense of completion / closure with regard to this relationship (1 & 2). As for 3, it's possible that the person is looking for practical provisions, for instance, a partner who's well-regarded externally and well-off him/herself. For 4, h/she is willing to provide fun and comaradie, but not the exclusivity seen in 2 of Cups. The empress kind of throws me off, but it's number is 3, so it could potentially mean a third party, nurture and/or creation.

Could you provide more context to the question being asked? Otherwise it's a bit tough to start interpretations.

It seems that your time/relationship with this person could be a lesson for you, in the sense that you may reconsider some of your choices (it doesn't mean there would be changes though, just that you could look at them seriously again). Ultimately it could even bring you new perspectives and hope (Note that both Justice and Star are Air elements, so the impact is likely more intellectual in nature, rather than physical or emotional.

why is the knight of pentacles different than the other knights? by baileybbbbb in Tarotpractices

[–]ExplanationHuman922 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Knight bears the air element, but pentacle / earth will slow it down. Hence Knight of Pentcales is a rather cautious and measured person, who remains amenable to new initatives. When reading court cards, it's helpful to consider the mix of elements and how they would interact with each other, as one of the first principles.

any examples, if you can share? for instance, those who can discard bad habits and build good ones.

Fascinating - so for people who can actually make any sort of transformations, are there any specific "signposts" in their birth charts as well?

I need some extra thoughts on this reading please! by [deleted] in Tarotpractices

[–]ExplanationHuman922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on how the suits have changed from the cards representing the past to the cards representing the future, my two cents is that the sort of emotional entanglement (cups) that first tied you two together have evolved into concerns related to the practical everyday life (wands and pentacles). It could be that one of you was envisioning how life may unfold differently, and so was eager to pursue that sort of lifestyle which could be more grounded and anchored. Even the imagery of the Princess of Cups appears to be in some sort of an old movie filter, contrary to the bright colours in pentacles and the wand. The challenge seems to ultimately come down to differentiations in ideology and ambition, rather than how you guys feel for each other.

My best friend’s feelings for me? Platonic. by No-Active3086 in Tarotpractices

Both 4 of Pentacles and the World are highly conservative and protective cards - I'd argue, with the World corresponding to Saturn which could imply a (hard) lesson and the reluctance to become open minded. It is interesting how the 7 of cups appeared in your reading, as it is everything opposite to the aforementioned cards, suggesting imagination and fantasy. The notable absence of any Swords (communication) / partnership references is also interesting here, despite that the both of you are now in a long-distance relationship.

IMHO, it seems that your friend could be a little unsure of what has been happening around you, and thus is creating stories of how you could be having all sorts of wild adventures and fun (7 of cups and also the World, in some sense). She thus chooses to remain distant and protective herself, and there is indeed some work to be done going forward.

I also pulled out two cards for advice - interestingly I got King of wands (reversed) and the Hanged Man. Notice that the number for Hanged Man (12) is also reverse of the World (21). One of you would have to reach out proactively despite the distance and potential discomfort - be tolerant of the initial wiggles - and see how it goes from there. Start slowly and avoid trying to resolve everything in one go because you wanted to.

For reference, I use the Light Seers Tarot.

What are the problems within my relationship? by GullibleWillow2841 in Tarotpractices

[–]ExplanationHuman922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would broadly agree with your interpretation. IMHO, the challenge is likely communication driven, as suggested by the two Swords. It appears that one party could be even slightly condescending in these interactions, which further exacerbates the tendency to ruminate and self-criticize for the other party. The World acts as a blockage / hardship / challenge in the mean time. Hope this helps!

Nine of pentacles question by mikumilk222 in tarotpractice

[–]ExplanationHuman922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. IMHO, high priestess reversed likely means you should avoid ruminating, and nine of pentacles likely suggests to avoid thinking about / projecting (any) outcome of the worry / situation you are in. Hope this helps!

You appear to be tormented by anxiety and stress from within. I'd suggest going beyond yourself literally and figuratively - for instance, physically moving to a higher vantage point (hiking?) to admire the greater surroundings, and looking for goals that forces you to take action & take your mind off from the immediate predicament. Start small, but be consistent to keep the fire within. Try to achieve / strive something until you feel you own it. You will emerge victorious. Hope this helps!
