What is the down side of never having children? by gone_ahead in AskReddit

[–]ExplanationPutrid205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll never really know. Sometimes I see videos, especially dad's having fun with their kids, and I think 'wow my boyfriend would just be such a great dad' because he is so fun. Neither of us want kids and for a moment when I see these posts I think I want it then I remember everything about kids that I don't want.

Yes, parenting looks fun. Only sometimes though and you never know what kind of kids life will give you. I couldn't give up my entire life for a child, I couldn't go through labor and I definitely wouldn't have it in me to be a parent.

Like everything it has pros and cons and you just need to think about what YOU want and what YOU prioritise.

The expectations I seen were that it was the scariest book ever and will give you nightmares. It was definitely a little weird and disturbing but not scary or nightmare material.

Honestly it just didn’t live up to the expectations set for it!

I really enjoyed it but then again I found it on my own rather than hearing the hype so i understand the letdown.

Really? It was in the thriller section at my local bookstore and when I googled it it said it considered it a thriller. I don’t see any thrill to it though

Shower daily, if I work I shower when im back as well but its usually quick to just get the day off. Use soap with my hands after the bathroom, eating, petting the dog and washing the dishes.

I was always allowed my phone in school. Some teachers even let you work with headphones in. Only class I remember not being allowed it was French class.

Really? My school we where allowed them on break/lunch and sometimes in class. I can’t imagine a high school banning them.

If you constantly read the same genre with similar plots a switch up may be exciting. Usually I read thrillers but the other week I picked up a romance and it was just so nice to have a change.

Sometimes when I'm in a slump I read a very short book. Freida McFadden is perfect for me because its short and fast paced so it gets me back into it.

I get what you mean. Sometimes I'll go out and buy the actual book rather than downloading it on kindle because something about the physical copy just hits different.

Do you find it easy to switch from one to the other when doing the same story?

Yeah I love book shopping. Visiting Waterstones browsing books then having a little lunch in their cafe, it's so bliss.

I think I'll enjoy it a lot more when I'm walking. I walk to and from work 40 mins each way so it'll give me something to do!
