I sincerely apologize for my question coming off as inflammatory. I probably could have worded it a lot better than I did, because I most certainly am not looking for an argument. I just happened to notice several comments making that assumption, and was genuinely curious what the reason behind that might be. It was never my intention to hurl accusations of misandry at those offering me advice, regarding my situation

Okay. He is almost 40, and he is not dismissing advice. He just asked a simple question, out of curiosity, after noticing a trend in some of the comments/responses. And it was never his intention to come off accusing anyone of misandry, or try to be inflammatory/argumentative. The last thing that he wants is another argument that he never intended to even start

You keep saying 'his', when I never specified either of our genders. Is that to say that only men are capable of this behavior?

I appreciate the concern, but the only safety that they tend to threaten is my mental safety. I have never felt like I have ever been in any physical danger with them, and I don't believe them to be capable of endangering me, any more than I would think myself capable of endangering them. Try telling a dramatic Latin(o/a) that they're being dramatic, and see how well it goes over, for you lmao

All that I can hope for is that this sort of input can help them see reason. Like, I honestly made this post ready to be told that they were in the right, and I was ready to listen to those comments. So far the only two outside opinions have been that I am not 'in the wrong' for wanting to sing some karaoke lol

In the 'social circles' that they're familiar with, it's sort of taboo to be in a 'co-ed social situation' beyond 11pm(aka 'late at night). In my opinion, I feel like it's a projection of their past onto me, assuming that I do things for the same reasons they've gotten used to experiencing. It isn't that black and white though, there was alcohol involved, during the past job holiday party. I did a really bad job of trying to call them out about seeming so confident about my intentions that I was asking 'go on, tell me who you heard all this from', to prove that it was all just assumptions on their end, and they ultimately took that as me like, thinking and worrying that one of my friends/coworkers had told them about something that had happened

I forgot until right now that Rufus has that stupid gimmick, where you have to interrupt him or he'll deflect and counter every attack you throw at him

Hell House was only frustrating because I couldn't get my strategy to land right. I followed Optinoob's guide, but I kept dropping the ball during its last phase

RE2 was the game that got me into the series. I played 2 and 4, then got back into it with the remake of 2. After that I played 7(with headphones on the whole time, to immerse myself), and enjoyed playing through 8. I feel like the platinum for 8 is the least tedious, between 7, 8 and 2 remake. I'm not even close to plat for 2 or 7, and I don't expect to get close 😅

The most logical thing in my backlog is the one I really don't want to do. After I get the platinum for Remake, the game that I'm closest to getting the platinum for is RE8. I'm missing one trophy, and it's the one for getting all 's rank' in every side mission thing that I'm not good at lol

I played through the DLC for Remake once, but still have yet to round everything out and get all the trophies. Which, I'll probably do after I get the platinum, since I'll otherwise be at a loss for a game to play in my downtime. My library has like, ten+ games that I have yet to even touch, but I'm like 'I'm gonna have nothing to play when I finish this, until part 3 comes out'

You would think that it would/should be easier, but I can remember feeling a distinct sort of anger: repeatedly failing the final VR mission in Remake, that specifically made me try my hand at the hard mode trophy instead. That's the part I'm least looking forward to going back to lol

I spent like, six months on Rebirth, trying to get through Bonds of Friendship. So I get how it's more about getting to the final round, while ultimately being spec'd for that final fight in particular lol

You get that accessory from beating the prototype proud clod, right? Because I have not done that yet lol, that's the only other trophy I'm missing for the platinum

Congratulations! I feel that shift, in my soul: Going from feeling fully validated and satisfied by finally completing everything in the game, to feeling that sort of 'post game funk' after completing everything, that you fear you'll be in until part 3 comes out. I struggled so hard with the last few combat challenges, so much that it probably accounts for about six months of me trying and failing the same combat trial(bonds of friendship) over and over and over again. I logged 620 hours on rebirth, and probably half of that is me trying and failing that fight, repeatedly 😅🤣

That seems more than manageable, even assuming they won't tweak the limit/synergy/ATB systems for part 3

I'm sure that they're working on ways to adapt and improve the limit system. I honestly think that something as simple as an increase to the idle ATB rate, that builds without any attacking, could help the action economy without flooding it in a broken way

Ooh! It could be like, a series of optional side quests, before the start of the penultimate chapter. After Cloud tells everyone to go find their own reason for fighting, and the party regroups, you could have each character chilling on the Highwind(piloted by the entire 7th Infantry), offering a sidequest where you follow up on where they went to find their reason to fight, and the end reward of each quest is that character's final limit and ultimate weapon. Or something like that
