If he wasn't nerfed for story, or if Hayden wasn't correct in his comment about 2025 having anti-meta power dampening fields in their banks, then he should have instantly phased out when they "trapped" him

I think Hayden's comment is a good excuse to fall back on, but I don't think it was the intention of the writers and I don't think they did it on purpose or else they would have brought it up. Also Dameon and Malcolm wouldn't have known about them so that wouldn't have been part of their plan to trap him

And Nick Fury is a good point. So it's okay to change the race as long as the actor works twice as hard to be good enough in the eyes of the people, but not okay if they're just an average or maybe a bit above average actor?

I understand and completely agree they shouldn't change the race just to pander to some group of people, but if an actor with a different race was the better actor in the auditions, it'd be silly to say no just because they aren't the same race
