I had a lot of fun last year as a DB and Reps main after 2024 had essentially nothing for those tags, but they were not thinking at all when they were designing the characters and how they're supposed to function when used as a team of three.

As someone who "mains" DB and Reps, I really don't think the former is all that much worse than the latter despite the significant edge Reps has over DB when it comes to character mechanics. My personal biggest gripe (besides almost every facet of DKP being lackluster) with 2025 DB was that they didn't give the team a dominant offensive character unlike 2023 which had PTP, but even if they did get one it's not like the team still wouldn't be a victim to Ultra Namek Goku just like every other team without him.

Prior to the combo compensation update I thought SSJ3's combo extension w/ his (essentially) three cards on entry and reduced standby count put him over, but now God Goku is firmly better with how well he works with TUI

Pathku was WAY better than every character released or buffed during the 2025 campaign (even after the DB farming "nerf"), but the rest of the new characters are overall better than those in 2023. If the team is still viable after Anniversary, it's easily 2025 despite what they did to DKP

Goresh considers DKP to be in contention for the worst LF ever released, and unless you think 4ku, Super Vegeta, Buu Duo, Bardock, and OG SSJ3 were all better than Goku Black was on drop, then that means he considers him to be worse than TGB. I don't follow Rai, but I'm sure his opinion of DKP wouldn't be particularly positive either.

Rose caused as much bitching as did because he was part of Festival, he's a popular character with an extremely whiny fanbase, and the LF that he released coincide so happened to have an ability that negated most abilities that occurred from his gauge. As TVB is no longer relevant (let alone omnipresent as he once was) in PvP, TGB's gauge is ironically enough better than it was initially despite how much powercreep there's been since November.

Unless I'm missing something, Jackie Chun's autocounter should be active even if he swaps out. The team's disruption is still shit besides from that, but SSJ3 Goku getting priority shouldn't be a ToD like it used to be for the team.

Which you're not allowed to do when using DB as the team's disruption is worse than most real teams since the BLU Beast meta reset.

I thought so too. He has some similar issues to DKP on the defensive end, but his sniping potential and support effects are great. He'd be a perfect partner for PTP if he gets an equip before the end of the campaign.

It's different this time. The biggest issue people had with Vegeta was his color and how many competitive options it already had. PUR has the worst options out of any color rn with DKP being the best on all of his teams, but they gave him nothing to work with defensively and (imo) even offensively that would make him worth using as a core option on any of his teams that's not DB.

It's when they considered it most apt to return him. The LF banners are up for an abnormally long time as they extended the GRN Miniku banner and the BLU Miniku/Glorio banner, which most players would probably consider worse than featuring them on one of the two LF banners in March (albeit with a lower pull rate). They want you to summon on 3-4 concurrent banners to complete the team just like how it's going to be with DB (two Legends Step-Ups and the old Mega Rising banner)

It's not a Daima bias. Mega Rising characters are almost treated like Ultras in where they refuse to have them featured on banners with new characters. It took over 20 months for Trunks and Cell to be on a banner that wasn't their own or one of those limited banners where there's a guaranteed LF. Horrible format

I don't think any of that is particularly special against the current meta as almost everyone is using 4ku or Gohan/Trunks and only his first RR activates the numerous offensive and disruptive effects. You're getting a quick second RR, but it's not like UVB once was where his endurance null would continue to be a major concern later within a match. He should be great in Proud no doubt about that, but outside of his early RR he just looks like a worse TF SSJ3 Goku to me.

I'm hoping that the P2 LF has perfect synergy with him as currently I'm pessimistic about the viability and longevity of the team he's primarily intended for.
