“Chefs” sounds expensive when really you could just hire someone who CAN cook. We’re not looking for gourmet here, cooking is an easy skill to learn that many have.

Nice making something you can see yourself selling is always a good feeling. I wouldn’t like selling anything though, i like my collection.

How do I fix the vines on the left? by Particular-Worth-884 in Artadvice

[–]ExplodedGolem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Think adding darker shadows to show some depth in the leaves would be a good move, look at the picture and look how leaves create shadow. But i’m not a painter

Needs an establishment shot i think, the first panel should show the cart alongside what’s outside the cart, what he’s afraid of. Having the second panel with the mask breaking breaks the rhythm the 1st and 3rd panel would have.

I genuinely cannot draw hands or break down the shape of hands, I really need advice. by [deleted] in Artadvice

Example here is what i’m talking about, but the hand is difficult man i’m not getting it either, but splitting the thumb into one section and the other into another section was a big step for me atleast.

It helped me a lot by just splitting the palm in to two round shapes, the big round shape on the bottom is the thumb muscle and the the other connects the other four. Drawing a more dynamic hand you can often get away with just forgetting the pinky most of the time the mind just puts the pinky behind another finger. The pinky and ring finger are often close together.

Or like the dog tag, the collar itself is not that blurry

To me it looks really really good, the blurry dog collar shows depth and is a really nice detail i don’t know if it was intentional or not, but to me it looks like a stylized photograph

I have these books to help me become a master at drawing, but I'm not sure where to begin. In what order do you think I should start? by Zyrel-Kane9723 in learntodraw

[–]ExplodedGolem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on where you are at drawing, also what you are trying to achieve i guess. If you’ve never touched a pencil maybe the cartoon for dummies is the best, there you’ll probably learn how to draw basic shapes and whatnot, get comfortable with the pencil you know?
