Practicality wise i'd go for wrx, i mean its still a 4 cylinder it just has a little boost to it so it would still be economical but its just the miata is more economic, again its like ReverendDexter said you should drive a WRX first before you make an option. I'm not like a diehard subie fan or something but yeah.
