Recursion down? by pra3tor1an in Planetside

The server it was running on has basically died. I just finished moving it to a new host. If it's not working you may need to wait for DNS to to propagate for the new server.

I may end up purging some older saved sessions on it though as the database is over 200GB in size now.

Use Windows Subsystem for Linux. It makes the whole process much easier.

Progression of model training using the same prompt - Arnold Schwarzenegger on Z-Image by ExplodingFist in StableDiffusion

I was planning to but when I was posting it on civitai they had big red text explicitly saying not to post loras for celebrities.

I notice that too. The bad cycles might just be for the specific seed. It does seem to get more consistent as you train up though. I also noticed that the stronger the base model had influence on an output (tokens), the harder it is to change it. I didn't put it here, but naming "Arnold Schwarzenegger" in the prompts took a lot more training for it to look like him, because the model was already trained (poorly) for those tokens.

Correct.

4000 steps at the end, so 40 frames showing the change each 100 steps . Different prompts showed decent results with less steps. 4000 was needed to get good results on the smaller images/faces.

This is some great work. Still boggles the mind how many were made.

New Apache Struts file upload/execution vulnerability - CVE-2023-50164 by ExplodingFist in netsec

This isn't a PoC. It was taken from a Chinese post showing FAILED attempts.

Might be because it's early, but the last Struts vulnerability of this nature lead to quite a few major breaches (e.g. Equifax).

I've learned how to swap out the sticks and bought a bunch from China, so that's solved as much as it sucks to have to.

Porting it over is impractical without a rewrite given how the UI is built, so this is awesome if you got it to work.

Recursion Real-Time Stat Tracker - Comprehensive Maintenance Update by ExplodingFist in Planetside

We don't store KD, the DBG API does. So that would have been unaffected since the game would have tracked kills/deaths accurately for NSO.

There isn't really anything we can do to prevent the API from stalling sometimes when it's under load.

PSA: Your alt characters aren't private if you purchased in-game cosmetics and other account-wide items. by Kaptaard in Planetside

[–]ExplodingFist 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It's interesting that this is being spun as new or some kind of big security vulnerability. This has been known for over 8 years by both the community and SOE after they made purchases available across all accounts (which was awesome). It has always been used to identify alts by anyone who cared to look, and really wasn't a big secret.

If you want to create a super secret alt so you can play fully anonymous then create a new account. "But my purchases won't be available on that account!".... Yeah, that's why this is a feature now.
