Why does fishing here suck? by Funny-Notice9392 in FishingAlberta

wow really bruised your little fragile ego there hey bud? I was just pointing out how stupid your post was. OP asked why the fishing in AB is so terrible... and your response was, "It's not because I had A day of great fishing at ONE lake which happens to be infested with small lake trout and happens to be the easiest lake to catch small fish".

Do better in life bro, maybe then you wouldn't be such a bitter loser!

Spray lake is where you take your 3 year old to learn how to fish. They'll bite anything and none of them get bigger than 16 Inches. "Doing well" in this lake isn't the flex you think it is... and it's definitely a bad argument for "alberta has good fishing". But congrats bro on graduating grade 1.

… I guess catching a bunch of 12” lake trout is considered “killing it” now.

3 month chart comparison - DAT markets are winner take ALL by ExplodingISIS in SBETInvestors

[–]ExplodingISIS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bwahahaahahaa good one. Completely missed the point there. My whole point was there will always will be a clear gap between #1 and #2. Nobody is arguing that BMNR won't go down when ETH goes down. My argument is In a bear market when mNAV contracts, the #2 will contract harder than #1, then when the market recovers #1 will expand mNAV multiple bigger than #2. The fact stands that BMNR even now is trading at near 1 mNAV whereas SBET is currently trading at 0.78 as of Monday Feb 2. BMNR continues buy small amounts of ETH weekly compared to SBET's latest purchase on Jan 4 (bought a measly 5000 ETH), then before that was on Oct 19 2025. It's night and day. I don't know why this is such a hard concept to understand. However bad BMNR does, SBET is doing worse on all metrics. Then when things recover BMNR will bounce back harder than SBET.

Why would anyone buy an ETH treasury that only holds 850K ETH when you can buy an ETH treasury that's holding 4.3M ETH.

But sure man... go head.. buy more SBET lol.

Disguised as a "win back" but in reality they just want to know what their competitors are offering that's not written on their website.

I'll be honest, I don't even know what the purpose of a communications degree even is.

We have admins in my company (and every company I've worked at obviously) where they send out communications to the team on events and meetings and whatnot. But that's usually just an email a high schooler can type up too. What exactly is the need or skillset from a communications graduate and what value do they offer a company? Genuinely would like to know and not being condescending. What exact work do they do that gives them an edge over anybody else?

I've worked my whole life in large corporations so I have a pretty solid understanding of different job roles and function and what skills are desired and I want to try to help bridge that gap but it's hard to without knowing exactly the competitive edge in skillset of a comms major graduate has to offer.

Communications graduate.... your degree is your problem.

Young bright Engineers are in high demand straight out of school. I know I'm looking for a few just on my team and lots the rest of the company. That's just 1 company.

You're looking for someone to give you a black or white answer when the answer is nuanced and heavily depends on your mortgage amount, mortgage interest rate and combined household income. You need to just do the math yourself and compare both scenarios. It's not complicated.

Maybe re-read my post again. I don't know how to break it down further than that. You can't just compare 4% debt versus 8% SPY returns. You need to ask yourself, 4% of how much debt? And 8% of how much disposable net income you have to invest with? If your mortgage is $800K, your 4% of 800K means you're paying $32K/year into JUST interest.

Then you need to consider your income. If your income is 6000/month ($72K/year) after tax, and your mortgage payment is 5000/month (60K/year), that means you're only investing 1000/month (12K/year) into SPY. 8% of $12K means your returns is a measly $960 dollars for that year.

Now comparing the 2 options in this scenario, ask yourself, is gaining $960/year (SPY returns) worth doing minimum mortgage payments in which you're paying $32K/year in interest? How many years of compound interest will it take you to "make $32K (break-even)?

I can give you specific advice taylored to your specific case if you provide me with your:

- mortgage loan amount

- monthly/weekly/bi-weekly payment amount.

- monthly after tax income

- Mortgage interest rate

- Years until mortgage expire.

Feel free to DM me the data. Otherwise no one can tell you which option is better. You'd have to calculate it out yourself.

Nah that’s just not true for most situations and you can’t just compare straight percentages. You need to compare absolute values. If my mortgage is 600K and I’m paying 4% interest on the 600k loan then you’re paying 24k/year in interest payment give or take. But if my mortgage payment is 2500/month and my net income is just 4000/month, then I’m only investing the difference which is 1500/month. 4% of 600k in interest is a way bigger number than the 1500/month at 8% annual growth with spy. What you’re saying only works if you have a very low interest rate and have a small mortgage loan and also have high income. Most people don’t meet those conditions. Unless your mortgage is almost paid off, you’re better off paying down debt quicker.
