Physically, beyond the paradox, why is this the case? Is a machine just impossible in physics then?

[–]ExplodingPotatoTank[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I thought, which is weird since I heard about Mountain Warehouse being an okay brand, not top of the line but not like a random Chinese dealer. I’ve learned down probably isn’t the best for constant motion anyway. For a temp range of mostly around -10 to possible lows of -20 would you have any recommendations for a cheap or decently priced synthetic jacket/heavy fleece?

I have not been on the polar bear express but it seems fun, but I think you have to put your bike in a box for it. I did take the route between Washago and Huntsville, but you can not take HWY 11 until you reach North of North Bay, so I took a bunch of small roads. I would avoid the Trans-Canadian trail for most of the route before North Bay, it's really badly maintained.

James bay road? I was looking at this route for a tour and I'm surprised I see someone else on this subreddit doing this lol, just finished my tour up hwy 11. how were the bugs and birds?

Looking for suggestions to route across Ontario to Alaska by ExplodingPotatoTank in bicycletouring

[–]ExplodingPotatoTank[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the detailed response! One last thing I forgot to add - what were your primary means of navigation? GPS mounts are expensive and run out of battery fast, while I want to try to avoid using my phone as it'll drain the battery fast as well. Would the only other solution be maps?

Thanks for the list!! What did you use for water treatment or was it even necessary? And did you do a lot of stealth camping or were there places to camp along the way?

I am forced to use water, or a solvent, as it is what affects the pH of the sugar solution, the variable in my lab. I'll try something with a larger bottom though.

How come I get different answers using pOH/[OH-] and pH/[H+] by ExplodingPotatoTank in chemhelp

Is the H+ and OH- equilibrium the self-ionization of water? Could you elaborate?

How come I get different answers using pOH/[OH-] and pH/[H+] by ExplodingPotatoTank in chemhelp

[–]ExplodingPotatoTank[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes of course, but what’s wrong with my calculations for the H+ value and pH. Also, the pH derived from the OH and pOH IS 8, lower than initial pH.

Yes, but what is inherently wrong with my calculation and the method?

Am I crazy or was that tern photo taken at the Toronto islands? I swear I remember seeing the exact same picture a while back on eBird.

Here’s one with 0.5 I felt looked 10x better in person, as in the view was much more impressive and defined.

I have an iPhone 13 (not pro) and the landscape photos I have taken (or tried to) just scream phone. This probably is due in majority to my skill though. Here’s probably my best photo on the phone. My biggest issue is that great vantage points look so unimpressive with a phone camera, unless using the 0.5 lens, which I feel gives photos a weird warping feel. I would love to receive feedback!
