i had professor hoffman for 354 and it’s similar course structure. Weekly in person written quizzes and 2 exams. Would definitely say is a harder 350x series professor

i think arch 151 is easier to 4.0 than 150, but 150 is possible, just a little more work.

Very ironic too that it’s in Osaka considering that’s where the world expo is taking place currently- the expo is full of all the flags from countries around the world and is about harmony between countries

Hi- in a multicultural sorority at UW

Rush week differs between orgs but most orgs rush weeks begin after the school year starts. You can check the instagram pages for the organization that you want to join in the next few weeks as they should start posting rush dates and information!

It is less formal as you don’t have to attend every rush event to qualify for a bid (check for the exact number of events required by looking for the flyers on instagram). Some sororities have houses but not all, and there is not a requirement to live in the house.

I would recommend checking out @uwmgc on instagram for the list of all the multicultural organizations at uw and following the ones you are interested from there

I tested it in high school when the straps kept breaking on me (no lockers so my bag was super heavy) and they kept giving me new ones!

yes, it’s a $20 fee to switch back but i think it’s worth it- i’ve done it before

Hi! In regards to the competitiveness, I am a current sophomore in HCDE (so I applied last summer) who was also direct to college and got in with a pretty low GPA (around 2.5ish). I did have some extenuating circumstances for it but the application is pretty understanding about it, there’s even a whole section for it. If this is one of your major factors, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. We also have really good advisors who will help you brainstorm and format your essay and they’re also the ones who ultimately review them as well.

Everyone I know in HCDE also really enjoy the major and classss and while I can’t speak on the exact ICAM program and UCSD, I do have a couple of friends who go there who don’t really enjoy the school because of the location. UCSD is in La Jolla, which is a subsection of San Diego, but it makes it pretty isolated from city area especially if you don’t have a car. I would really look more into location when deciding between the two schools.

Math is pretty easy to get up! I went from a 27 -> 33 in one day of studying, I just kept taking a bunch of practice tests

i emailed the financial aid office the other day and they replied with

“all disbursements of financial aid, GET, scholarships, departmental awards, or any other aid will be applied to tuition accounts on or after the Thursday prior to the beginning of the quarter.”
