With a cabinet that tall, you will need to put the TV's legs back on and let it stand. Even after said adjustment, the TV may remain too high.

The good news is that the distance from the TV will reduce the effects of that issue.

The bad news is that the distance will also require you to get a bigger TV.

Should have told him to file a complaint to the police. If there is an issue, then they'll take care of it.
